Cheers guys! Worry not. I'm planning on keeping things simple. A lack of engineering talent will see to that!

I love how simple the interior is on this, no unnecessary switches or dials just bare essentials. That is a lovely colour.

That is stunning. I love everything about it. Worth buying for the funky Eighties reg plates alone.

Cheers all! Answering a few questions: yes, it does have later seats fitted (not for long if I can help it!). I also reckon it needs more 'period-correct' wheels, can't decide what though! Fuel consumptions pretty poor, but then it seams to be running a bit rich. As for corrosion, the pictures do hide a fair bit, although considering what some of these are like now, I can't complain! It does seem to have a bit of history - I know of one front end shunt that has left the bonnet out of alignment, also there's some really dodgy paint work on the rear quarter! It's been a second car most of it's life, garaged, but used mainly for lugging building materials about! Was going to be traded in for scrappage, but I managed to save it. Bloody glad I did, it's awesome to drive something that basic again! ;D

Lovely. That really is in lovely condition. And you're right, it really doesn't need a lot to make it look any better, if anything at all.

That looks lovely! As for wheels, it shouldn't be too hard to find a set of nice original wheels like these

Very nice, we had an S-reg one virtually identical to that, in a similar-if-not-the-same colour (Regency Green). Totally bog standard, no radio, houndtooth seats and an engine mount that used to make it a bit stuttery to pull away. Many happy memories of OHF 979S lol. I recall it used to be a bit questionable on the motorway with only 4 gears though
