1935 Morgan Supersports 3 wheeler. A freind of mine has one and uses it regularly. I keep wondering what I would do to it if it was mine. The first thing I would do would be to 12v convert it and try to do something about the peculier charging system. Dynamo is driven off the propshaft, and thus doesn't charge unless your doing 30 or more. Combine that with 6v electrics and you really just cant use the starter motor. p.s. this one is upmarket as it has removable wheels and reverse gear

Quite easy with a quick left, right, left on the steering i recon ;D Lack of creature comforts would keep me from driving it in anything other than perfect summer conditions. Feeling my age n all that!

I wouldn't do anything to it, it's a 76 year-old Morgan, therefore it's perfect just as it is.
If you want one with all mod cons, buy a Lomax. ;D
(Actually....a Lomax with a 1300 Citroen GSA lump in the front instead of a 602 would be brilliant. And lethal!)

Do/did people ever engine swap these? Could go a traditional hot rod route with an American V twin. An early flathead one obviously, for which I imagine there is plenty of aftermarket support/knowledge/tuning available. Make some sort of barely controllable contraption with lots of torque that would just smoke the rear tyre everywhere ;D Sliding pillar front end would be pretty easy to modify to drop the front for some rake. Red painted wires, shiny black body, natch. C'mon Brian, tell me that wouldn't be cool

My mate is playing about with building his a new engine. Hes mating a matchless air cooled crank case with custom made titanium barrels using DAF 850cc cylinder heads. The result will be 1428cc and about 70bhp. Through one wheel. However the original water cooled 990cc lump will remain on a shelf to be bolted back as and when he feels like.
Oh and I'm in love with the horn parp parp ;D

I'd roll that exactly as it is!
However, if I had to modify it, I'd do some Art Deco style fairings and steel aeroplane-style solid discs on the wheels.

flying helmet and goggles at the ready. Don't forget the handlebar moustache. I'd leave absolutely everything alone, and drive the nuts off it - they are fairly mental as standard. Driving the nuts off it has the advantage of keeping the battery charged as well.

I believe they are going to start making these again to order this year, Worked as a contractor at the Royal Signals club next door to the factory in 1993 and found out the stewards mate was a test driver,he took me out in a production fresh V8 with trade plates and no bumpers, still had masking tape on the wings! It was November and chucking it down with rain! An awesome experience and I have loved any Morgan ever since. True British Eccentricity, If only I could afford one.

If I ran it every day I'd put a more substantial charging system on it. Otherwise, not much There's a guy in Teddington that runs one. Quite regularly see it parked up outside Tesco or blatting down the high street. You hear it coming quite a way off with its BABABABABABABABAB exhaust note ;D

It's a shame the picture is still in storage, but my Father used to race these in the 60s and I've got an amazing photo of him toeing one around Crystal Palace.
Aero screens are a must cosmetically for me, maybe some bobbed wings... They're ace, enjoy the ride ;D

I'd probably just swap the screen for aero screens.
Love it
