I'm afraid I'm after about three times your budget, but I've got an M reg Saab Griffen - v6 3l auto, full leather and electric everything - all works apart for the aircon.
Tested to March and taxed to August/September.

Recently, I did a trip from the UK down to Munich and back in an 06 plate Merc "Transit" (Vito?).
Even fully loaded with exhibition kit, I managed to get the satnav up to 179 kph (111mph) on the Autobahn. Quite impressive considering we still averaged over 30mpg on the trip!

This may be a red herring as I think the 4-pot 9000 engine is chain drive, but I had exactly those symptons on a car were the cam belt had slipped a couple of teeth.
But TBH I think it is more likely to be one of those mentioned: vacum hose or ecu sensor problem. Is there anyway to "read" the ecu?

I've got some 4 point harnesses - Luke in a rather fetching shade of blue! Only 2" straps, but pretty comfy.
Make me an offer!!

IIRC I cut about 1.75 coils out of the springs on the 240 I used to rally - worked a treat. You can get the strut out from under the arch, but it is a MAJOR pia and you'll need to compress the spring to within an inch of its life!
The other thing to consider if you want stiffen up things is a three way strut brace at the front (tower to tower and tower to bulkhead each side) - there's even the bolt hole pre-threaded on the bulkhead ready for the fitment!
Another thing that is pretty easy to do is double anti-roll bars front and rear! The Turbobricks forum is a wealth of info on cheap mods like this.

Were the old Izuzu troopers and the original shoguns basically the same car ?? I think the Trooper and the Vauxhall/Opel Monterey were twins. I don't think there was ever a clone of the Shogun.

I just noticed there's a Charger for sale at that car showroom "barn" next to the M3 (near J5) for those that know it. I may have to pop in there on the way home tonight...

Not sure about pcd - they came from an A reg 2174 (?) cc engine car.
As far as I remember they were fine - it was a few years ago they I go rid of the car and they've just been sitting at the back of the workshop ever since.
£10 each and they're yours!

try a VW forum, i've sold a few sets now to camper van owners, usually about £100 just for the front seats. Can you suggest a suitable forum? Ta!

A long shot, but is anybody here interested in a leather interior for a Rover? I'm going to have one last chance of selling this. I'm off rallying tomorrow till Sunday morning, so Sunday PM it's going to the dump. Best offer before then gets it... A complete black half leather interior: front and rear seats, front and rear door cards (electric front, manual rear windows), and I think the carpet as well. All in excellent condition. Currently in Dorset, but can deliver to S Wiltshire, Hampshire and W Surrey without any problem - elsewhere by discussion!

Thanks, it is a shame it is so far away, it's going to cost me £50 to come and get it :-( I'll have a dig around and see if I can find a courier. Or is anybody coming past that is willing to carry it for some beer tokens?

Does anybody have a piston (and rings) from a 1.4 K-series, the later ("wet") engine - the one with the raised "land" across the majority of the piston top and the six "half moon" indents for the valves (the older design had two parallel groves towards the edges of the piston and no indents). Just for info, they're 74.4mm dia.
I'm not worried about the state of the conrod as I'm going to press it on to the existing CR.
Beer tokens waiting!!
Thanks very much.
