I'd love to take all of the Porsches but that seems greedy. chandlergti would you be interested in splitting them between us? If be mainly after the transverse ones and perhaps the two silver larger scale ones in the top right corner of the first photo?

Interesting that your brother has a Porsche thing. So do I!
What Porsches do you have left? I'd be tempted to take all remaining Porsches possibly.
Cheers.

Once again I never leave my car. Not sure if it makes a difference.
I use and have used the same garage for a few years now. It's on the estate where I work and thus far they have been very fair and also very accommodating. Always go back and have always been sound.

Where is it travelling to? I have a very reasonable guy.
This would probably be better in the pony express section.

I have a soft spot for these. I was so indecisive about buying one, I am a classic mini fan and have a "67 cooper and I remember when these were released. I was disgusted, I thought they were awful. However I finally bit the bullet and bought a 2006 R53 (bit to new for here and I suspected it would flop, hence no thread) and I absolutely love the thing! They're awesome! Good luck with it. You'll enjoy it.

It's not hard at all to get shown up in that yard car park with AMD next door. Last time I was in TDI they had a very nice Mugen NSX. Run by a super friendly chap as well. Bought my cobra seats off of him.
Always liked the EP3, nearly bought one when I got my R53 but insurance was a bit lairy for me. Awesome car though and you seem to be doing it right.
Enjoy.

No worries, i've been trying to sort a few bits for a mates 944 and had to try and track some parts for his elec roof and found that link to try and get my head round how it worked. So know what a pain it is... On the subject of water ingress i found that the car had obviously had an aftermarket alarm fitted at some point in its past and had been fitted with self tapers drilled through the valence by the wiper motor and these just let water flow straight into the drivers footwell... Seen as you mention it. I have noticed that if the car is parked with its nose pointing uphill the scuttle fills with a lot of water as it doesn't flow against the drain holes which are placed towards the front of the void where the battery sits. I think I might have to sit in it and get the hose on the car. Try and trace the leaks.

Hi, actually, I replaced my door cards and C-pillar covers with good 2nd hand parts, so I don't know how much material is required to cover those. Usually the issue is, that the water warped the card board backing and even re-covering will not make them prettier. The overall size for the headliner was 100 x 120 cm - or roughly 40" x 48". The B-post covers can be covered with the cut-out for the Targa roof. I searched for automotive interior glue on the (German) evilbay. I found this stuff: Bonaterm AS BT to be excellent. Keep the updates coming, I always appreciate other fellow transaxle owners sharing their work! Thanks bee much for that. Mine certainly needs doing. It's low down on the list at the moment and is something I might get around to once the car is moted. We have some pretty good 3M spray adhesive at work which I may have try a bit of. Free is always best.

Probably sounds stupid however not knowing what car it is, can you not remove the disc and have the stud sitting a bit proud of the face?
Might then be able to get a nut on, fill it with weld and then remove it that way.
I have never understood why people do wheel nuts up so tight. I think that I am quite a half-a-job kind of person, if there is a quicker way of doing something I will do it. Yet even I torque wheels up with a wrench.
Alternatively drilling the remainder out may be the best option. Pain in the chuff when this could have been simply averted by a previous owner.

This is absolutely incredible. Surely some charges were pressed against the offender. He needs to be held accountable. It's incredible what some people will do with something parked where they deem it to be inappropriate when legally it has nothing to do with them.
Jag looks super and glad you've got it sorted.

Bit of a cheat, as it is actually my car, but i did spot some other Datsun/Nissan's! and hiding in the back a Dodge Charger An all round good day I thought! I had seen the yellow one the Saturday I think, hasn't visited the Sunday. I keep thinking a retro rides collective there would go down rather well. Some pretty cool cars there I thought.

I absolutely love 911s and I make no attempt to hide that I wish my 944 had its engine up the other end. My favourites seem to change with the season and at the moment I have a hankering for a 993 which I'm sure was the last of the air cooled 911s with the 996 following? The 964 seems a good call however their prices seem to be climbing at a rate which will see them unobtainable by me very soon. I have read a bit about them and work with a friend who used to maintain a few many years ago. I am sure he was telling me about a prolific oil leak that they suffered with which was a very costly repair. I can't seem to remember exactly what it was but I seem to remember oil coolers being mentioned. Either way I am sure you will do your research prior to buying so the above remarks are kind of useless. Whatever you decide I am certain you're investment will be very safe and you will have years of pleasant motoring.

I am with RAC. Think it's about £12 a month and that covers me for any while provided it isn't commercial, I phoned to ask this and they told me that if it's a personally owned van or truck they will cover it. Their only issue is with sign written company owned vehicles. There also seems to be no age limit.
It's personal cover so will cover any of my vehicle that I own or am even in if the worst is to happen. I specifically wanted home recovery so that I don't get dumped at an expensive garage 300 miles from home. Take it to my garage and I will fix it!
It also has onwards travel, so if you need to be somewhere they will provide a replacement vehicle so that you can continue your journey.
I have never needed to use it and I hope I never have to. However it is a great relief not having to worry so much of something does prevent you from completing your journey and for the small price of £12 a month I am very happy with that.

I've got two sets, one are full size 7 digit plates, BS stamped and all that lark, cost me about £17.
I also last week bought some shorter 5 digit plates. Again BS stamped with all the legal gubbins for £25
forgot to say, bother from eBay from a seller "unit67" or something like that.

Ah that one again. Been there for as long as I can remember, 10+ years I suppose? There used to be a house a bit further down the road with a pink tank in the back garden. Really? You know anything about the owner/what the deal is? Would love some interior bits from there.. My remark "ah that one again" seemed a little derogatory, it wasn't meant that way, I meant it in an excited "ah!" I recognise that, which is always exciting. I know very little about it, all I know is that the activity there seems to be fairly regular. Perhaps three months ago the vehicles by the gate were different so someone is in and out, changing things about. I had a word with a friend who has a yard near by and once again, he has no idea who's they are or where they're from. I'll keep asking. Who knows someone may know some one, who knows someone who knows what the deal is. However like I say. Been there for years.

I think a long time ago I saw your micra on the M20 and recognised it. Hunted through here and found your build thread. Since then I have slowly watched quietly.
I have to say I do enjoy your cars and what you do with them. I am surprised your last one has gone, I really liked that.
These Pumas o think are pretty cool. The 1.7 engine is very good, I ised to have one in my Mk5 ZS.
I look forward to your progress.

Thanks for sharing that. It was an interesting read as to how things can spiral out of all sense of control.
I did wonder what happened to the BMWs and the parts, I also liked the last photo (not trying to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet).
It seems to be a very colossal scale of hoarding. Its just insane isn't it. I get mocked at work for 8 cars and only one is in the yard at a time... Let alone 12 being parked there alone!!
Well I hope Terrance and Byron live happy lives and can move on from this. Pretty darn crazy.

The Jackeria fair play! I was actually in an office for a firm that leased garages and halfway though our conversation I heard another member of staff say "no, we can not allow you to live in a unit" which threw me off of my conversation so much that I had to ask if someone had phoned up and ask to live in a unit. I was told it is almost a daily enquiry. And coming back to the caravan idea once again it's probably not a bad idea. My neighbour is self employed and takes his caravan with him quite a lot, comes home at weekends and spends all week working and living out in the camper van. Suppose you can go wherever the money is then so not a bad idea at all.
