I've a 106 available but it's in Lancashire. ahh that is a shame, I do quite like them actually And thats a good idea about whip street, there's a clean rover p4 in a very local yard but he won't let that go cheap enough, but I'll ask around the local yards

Something I want as I now have space to put it but no money to buy a nice shiny car -but what would be the fun in that anyway- so looking for something cheap for me to start to learn about cars on.So basically looking for anything that may have been standing in your garden or something you would otherwise scrap in the Sudbury-Ipswich area for free-£160 cars like: 205 petrol/tdi van/cti MK1-3 Fiesta MK1-2 golf MK1-2 polo Nissan Micra Basically anything with no or not much electronics. Would love a 3/5 door estate mk3/4 escort
But basically a field car

I think Morris Minors have to be one of my all time favourite cars, which is a shame because I've seen more rusting away/scrapped than road worthy, got a big shed courtesy of a farmer friend, but no money...

I agree on the mk1 Polo. I'll add the mk1 Derby, mk1 Passat, mk1 Scirocco, mk1 Jetta. All overshadowed by the ubiquitous mk1 Golf. Also, any Audi from the '70s, you just don't see them anywhere any more, even at classic car shows. I'm glad to say that I've owned almost all of the above with the exception of the mk1 Scirocco. I tend towards the underdogs As for the mk1 Scirocco my friends dad has one and it won the best original at Jimmys farm dub show this year, he's had 2 Scirooco's in the last few years a mk2 then a mk1, but maybe the mk 2 is overlooked too?Saw one in a scrapyard looked pretty nice except being overgrown by nettles, in the same yard Corsair, R5, pug 203, allegro and maxi.R5 and last two overlooked are the other two just rarities? and what about R21/R21 turbos? friend's going to try buy local one been sat up for a good few years.

Actually just remembered a yard that tried for months to sell an immaculate BMW E24 but next time I went it had a Saab 93 on its roof... So must be able to sell cars?

Also weird why another exhaust pipe is bigger diameter and has no silencer at all...? Better pics about that later There is a thing you can get that allows the exhaust to be diverted from one pipe to the other so you can have a really loud one then one that is street legal, and it can be changed via a switch inside the car, saw it in Rod and Custom. Sort of thing to put on a sleeper?

Well your information may still be right as one I passed the other day had a p4 with a for sale sign propped up against it... And luckily the scrapyard near me often gets old stock and allows people to have a poke round.

Basically as the title suggests, what laws are there around scrapped cars? For instance a Morris Minor Traveller is in a scrapyard and has no structural damage are there anyways of getting it back on the road? If a vehicle has not been issued with a certificate of destruction but is in the scrapyard does that make it any easier to get back on the road? If a vehicle is in a breakers yard, rather than a scrapyard can they be recommissioned?

Spotted both of these at NASC at Trinity park on the 25th and these two had retrorides stickers in so thought I would put them in the spotted section.
