From the DVSA Facebook. Following the recent government consultation, car drivers will be able to tow a trailer without a taking a test 🚗 This change will mean drivers who passed their car test after 1 January 1997 will be able to tow a trailer up to 3,500kg when the law is changed. This will be as soon as possible. ✔️Drivers who passed their car test before 1 January 1997 can already tow without a car and trailer test, so are not affected by this change. This will allow us to offer more lorry tests 🚛 We still encourage you to have training before towing a trailer to keep you safe. More info here ➡️ www.gov.uk/guidance/new-rules-for-towing-a-trailer-or-caravan-with-a-car-from-autumn-2021

This sounds fun. I do a lot of parts mish mashing at work, some quite interesting cylinder head bolt layout matchups on old vs new stuff.

I always remember it seeming to be a bit flexible, probably cos of the T bar. They are properly fast though, mine had a few bits done to it, off the line wasn't all that but 50mph upwards it would reel stuff in like they were on the brakes.

Was nowhere near as good as the 620Ti handling wise but girls liked cruising round with the T bar off so the coupe was always my favourite. Is it like the UK FDH import spec ones?

It's always worth pre oiling them, the oil pump looks like something off a toy car.

Forgot to have a proper look round at RRG, looks cooler than penguin curse word though. The livery is great.

That oil drain fitting is far too posh. Not a drop of chemical metal in sight. Let’s revisit this after I have started it up…. P Should be fine. I keep thinking of starting a "Stevie Wonder fits a oil drain" page on social media from the examples I see at work but never get round to it.

Family is always the most important thing so glad you/they are safe. If your stuff is OK would burning torch carrying locals chase you out of town as they'd think your a voodoo priest?

I did a dressed up one a while back. Had some nice rocker covers and valley cover. Painted the whole lot chevy orange and it looked OK from a distance, still not pretty but not as new looking as they are normally.

For anybody in future who Google's this thread up again with the same problems - the inlet valves will have stretched and closed the clearances up. Whack a set of thinner shims in and it'll fix it.
