Thanks guys! As far as the unsettling way you feel while driving it- that could be corrected easily enough. I'd recommend to the new owner to put new sway bar (ARB) links and bushes all around. Then, I'd turn the torsion keys to tighten the front a bit. Very easy on these things. Additionally, I'd go with a stiffer coil spring in the rear. That would solve this thing. Oh- also, new shocks. They appear to be original 2004 with a ton of miles on them... A day's work and a few hundred bucks, that thing would drive much much better. Nobody has contacted me from ebay about the van. Probably not a real buyer, I'll know by the end of the day. I've already sent out emails to all the interested others, letting them know that it's likely to be relisted for sale. My buddy Dieter? Yep- German. His parents are old now but they're super cool and have that charming German accent. Dieter doesn't have the accent but he talks funny anyway lol known him 20+ years. Good family. As with all the videos on the Grenade Motorsports You Tube channel, I make every one along with my basic website www.GrenadeMotorsports.com . My son helps with cameras and still photos, but I do all the editing, voice overs, production and arrangement. A 10 minute video takes hours to edit along with the "HEY did you film this part" of the building process. We've kind of worked it into the builds at this point. Camera work and talking in front of the camera is now as normal as working on the vehicles. Nobody asks me about the cameras anymore, they all know where it'll end up. I personally love it, it's fun pretending to be on the tele haha I have learned that doing voice overs works far better in the morning because if I'd had some beers and record them at night- I sound like a total dickhead hahaha

That number! Heck yes! But- they only have 2 feedback and only recently registered on Fleabay. It will likely be relisted and sold again. But hey- you never know!
Anyway- if you have the bandwidth, check out the final video in the build series for the Metro. Please share and subscribe if you can! Thanks and Just Wait til you see what's next!

Well thanks everyone! I have news- we've driven it around local roads and it is CRAZY! Tomorrow about 12 hours from right now, we are driving it and filming, to a car show. I'm going to take the footage that I have of the build, (that picks up where we left off in the last video) and finishes the build segments, the test drive and the review along with the public reaction at the car show. This should make for a cool video.
This van- it's like a giant soup can on top of a mushy Durango! The seating position is SO HIGH that it feels like you're going to tip over! My buddy at Bodgewerks showed me a video of a London bus and in 1957, they did "tip over" testing. If the London bus doesn't tip- this won't either!
It's got proper current 1960 registration and paper work, plates, insurance, the lot.
I love that ebay auction with the Metro over there- is not worth 8K GBP but hey- maybe over there, it is. More than half that amount is shipping to get one across!
I'm seriously not a fan of these things, but I knew, it spoke to me. It yelled at me. I knew we HAD to build it. When I pull into the drive and see it sitting there, I think "Yeah, I guess it's pretty cool".
The video should prove interesting because I've been going to this particular car show for 5 years and I have never- seen anything like this. Let's see what the masses think! (although with over 8k views, 8 different bidders and almost 500 watchers- this Metro that I've built- I bet it really hits the mark. at the current price, we're already in the positive column if I'm honest. Anything after that- is JUICE. (or Gravy, a bonus, whatever) lol
More late Sunday to see how this all turns out!

Thanks! The bidder is a "One Feedback" person, so really- it's probably fake. People over here love to do that. We'll see.

Hahaha, not on ebay yet. By great- I mean they look cool but they're terribly cheap. I have to cut and weld the thin, chrome plated metal tubing in order to make them fit properly. They should look cool, but might turn out like the moon disc wheel covers. A good idea at first... lol

The amber front indicators have arrived and we're supposed to finish up a bunch of the little items tonight. Thanks for the compliments! I am SUPER EXCITED to get it on the market and see what it brings. That's part of the thrill in building things. It's similar to gambling I suspect. Always trying to catch the elusive "win" lol
Pics coming soon, the mirrors are great. ish lol

OK! It's 90% completed. Still needs- Front turn signals, Both mirrors installed, new glass, new windshield wipers, an all day road test, Seats cleaned, spare tire secured, tires balanced, the little chrome center caps on the wheels and probably a few other little things I'm forgetting... Take a look at the industrial, agricultural All Wheel Drive Hemi Goodness that is this big, ugly 1960 METRO from international Harvester and Dodge. And me lol... Soon to be found on Ebay and at car shows near you...

I had to work today but I'll go out there later tonight. I'll get some nice pics in the daylight. And yeah right! I'm not doing another van. I would of course- but the price has to be right right.

You can smell the new floor, but it's not bad at all really. If you want to drive with the doors open, it's allowed. Going to paint the seat frames black and finish trimming it all out. It also has the rear seats from the Durango also going in. Hoping to get it on Fleabay this week. We're not going to make the big show I'm afraid. It's 3 days away and a 12 hour road trip. It hasn't been road tested, we're outta time. No big deal, just getting it finished will be a huge accomplishment. Unless it sells for stupid money, I'm not doing any more vans. Way too much work. This one kicked me in the butt.

Picture yourself in it.. Imagine what you would do with it... Buy it and have your way with it! Better yet, somebody cover shipping and trade me something for it.. We've been talking about trading it for something else fun...

Sorry for the crappy pic, but it's late and we've been burning the midnight oil on this thing! Not sure if it'll make the deadline for the big show on Sept 14th. It's a 12hr drive to get to the show and we don't even have it registered yet... or finished.. lol Damn job is totally in the way!!

How about a sneak peek at the interior? This is before the final clean up, Before the seats and the big industrial rubber diamond plate flooring that is going in...

Started on the walls inside the back of the truck. We insulated and moved the interior wheel arches. All of the temporary bracing is removed and the floor is going down soon. The walls REALLY helped with sound and overall appearance. Too dark out there to take good pics. 9:35pm and I'm still at it... Gotta work tomorrow too.
This thing isn't going to finish itself...
MAN! Vans are HUUUGE lol
Double the work, if not triple from a pickup truck chassis swap. Hope it's worth it at the end.

I haven't drilled and tapped the rims to accept the discs yet. We have to remove them to balance them, I was going to do that then. But since seeing it without the discs, and finding four little chrome center caps in my shop cabinet.. I'm not using them. We'll return 'em or save them for something else. I'm not a fan of that plastidip stuff, around here, it's used by immature ricer kids and straight hilljacks for a cheap solution. I'm just not a fan of it. I commit to something when I grab a rattle can lol
