Thanks lads for the comments. Here's another one of it on one of my favourite roads to the Knockagh War Memorial. This road was used as a stage in the Circuit of Ireland in 1979/80, can't remember which year, and it's a fantastic road to drive. photobucket.com/user/peterhwilson/media/imagejpg6_zps2b587538.jpg.html]

That looks really neat. I do like the Rostyles on it. Funny there's one for sale here and I thinks it's the one that's used to tow an SD1 racer to sprints and hillclimbs. Funny hadn't seen a Stag in ages and a white one passed me on Friday. Keep up the good work.

They aren't all that easy to come by although there's been a few in Northern Ireland over the past month or two. If you haven't already done so check out the. 700/900 section of the Volvo owners forum.

Being a frustrated classic rally it's you can't beat a B with a works hardtop and trip meter fitted. A set of classic buckets would set out off nicely. Keep up the good work.

How's about the polar opposites in Swedish car design.

Hi there. I have been through your threads on all of your cars many times and I have to admit that they are all fantastic. I have a real soft spot for the 300SE and have tried to get one three times over the years with no success which is a story in its own right. However, your W115 looks absolutely amazing. Unfortunately they are now very rare in Northern Ireland and any that do turn up for sale tend to be either completely rotten, our damp climate, or very expensive. Anyhow keep up the good work and I know I'm being a bit cheeky but any updates on the W115, Unimog or the Spitfire.
Cheers Peter.

photobucket.com/user/peterhwilson/media/imagejpg5_zpse3092474.jpg.html] Here we have my 1971 Saab 96 V4, I've had it just a year and have had great fun with it. It originally lived near Loch Lomond and was brought to Northern Ireland about ten years ago. It had a lot of work and a respray done by a Saab mechanic in Jerrets Pass. It came up for sale when the owner was moving house and would have no storage facilities. It hadn't been used much since it was restored so has needed some recommissioning over the last year. They drive and sound like no other car and gets loads of positive comments wherever it goes.

photobucket.com/user/peterhwilson/media/imagejpg1_zps5c27f76a.jpg.html] Here we have my Volvo 740 estate bought nearly three years ago. Wife wanted something more practical for the dogs and her allotment so thought it had to either be a W124 or 740 estate. The 740 turned up first. The previous owner had it for about 10 years and had mainly used it for his annual holiday to France. He had two other cars so the Volvo wasn't used much. Needs a bit of paintwork tidied but I love it. Even my wife won't part with it as she has become a complete convert to automatic transmission and refuses to drive a manual any more

That's a rather lovely collection of cars that you have there. Especially like the E28.

Hi there my names peter and I'm from Co Antrim and I have been a long time lurker on Retro Rides. I normally can be found on the Volvo and Saab forums which is a bit of a hint as to what I currently have. Current fleet comprises of a 1971 Saab 96 and a 1989 Volvo 740 estate. Retro rides I've also owned are: 3x Mercedes 190s, Volvo 240 GLT, NA MX5, MGF, NG Saab 900 convertible, a rebuild project of an MG Midget and a Marlin Roadster. I've also had 2 x VW Polos, an MG Metro and a Mini Clubman but these were all 20 to 30 years ago when they were just second hand cars. I will try to get some photos up on the Readers Rides section. I've always been an old car fan and currently I have never owned or even driven a car from this century. I have no intention yet of changing that. Currently can't drive or work on my cars much as I have a damaged shoulder.
Cheers Peter.
