Thanks guys, the car is a vauxhall cavalier 1.8 on a G reg with 57,000 miles my general riff raff run around i did service it on shell helix oil and did the spark plugs at the same time, it runs well and all fire up nicely, but it's got its mot soon so I was just wondering do I do it again or just do the filters and oil, I was thinking of going for the triple qx from ECP, but don't know really, as if it's good stuff or not now,
So the outcome is check how the plugs are and if there's any running miss firing problem then change of not then carry on but to do filters and oil,
And as for the oil do any of you guys use triple qx and how does it work for you, I was thinking 10w 40, semi synthetic, with Mann Air filter and bosch oil filter, as of with fuel I can't locate one as it had a carb and I been told there's a small mesh thing acting as the filter which just cleans out but it's like tiny thumb nail size which makes me think is this it
All help appriciated

Hello guys just need to pick the brains of a tyre expert, right I know someone's already done a thread about tyre changers and I have already decided to buy a manual tyre changer just to change the odd tyre at home, I wasn't going to balance but If it's really needs balancing with a heavy wooble then I will get it balanced, I seen manual bubble balancers on eBay but don't know how good they are do leaving that, also I'm stuck on what valves I will need to keep In stock I seen TR414, TR412, TR418 etc etc but don't know what valve is commonly used on car tyres and why so any different TR numbers and what does it all mean, the basic set up I'm thinking is a pack of tyre valves, tyre valve tool, tyre manual machine, is this good enough? will bolt the machine on a concrete floor but is there any special studding or and fitting that will be best to use, all help and advice appriciated in advance

Thanks guys, I did have someone come and help me which was good, he told me my earth was not good ( it's a second hand mig) so I need to sort a new clamp for that, saying that would a jump lead clamp be ok, also I realised looking For clamps they have amps for example 200 amp or 400 amp etc etc, what would be good for my welder or would it be a case of any clamp will Do regardless of the amp, also was told to move slowly and not like I was zapping away at the metal, and also was told to do half moons when welding, he said the welder I had was good and also to if I can use my welder plugged directly to the home socket and try to not involve extention wires, lol well I had 20 meters of extention wire when I was practicing before so a good few tips I got so far

Hello guys, right I got myself a clarke 130EN turbo to learn to weld, but I can't weld, I have used gas and solo wire I have used gasless flux core wire I have even honked the mig forum but still having difficulty. So just want to get some idea on what I can be doing wrong I am using Fluxcore at the moment and the way I'm welding is Straight in and just zap zap zap zap, and all I'm getting is lots of spots of welds thrown everywhere which doesn't even tack what I have welded down, so any ideas what's wrong and like with setting I have 2 switches which are 1-2 and min and max and a knob for wire speed, I'm practicing on old car wings so it's thin metal the fluxcore I'm using is 0.9, so I appriciate all help in advance

This ad is for a original factory cosworth bodykit still on the car ( very clean), you are welcome to take the complete car or just the bodykit alone, you will need to take this of the car yourself although I will be able to help you remove it off the car if need be. The kit itself is 100% original painted in metallic black, with no chips or cracks, this is not your usual fibre glass copy, all the panels are complete and original high quality factory spec with part numbers stamped, all covers for the jacking points are complete ( x4 ), all 4 wheel fenders are complete, 8 x side door/wing mouldings are complete, ( not waving or out of shape ), original rear boot lid spoiler complete, both front and rear bumpers are complete, all moulding are free from any damage, although the rear bumper has a square cut out ( size of a match box) not sure if this had a tow-bar fitted or something similar, can be easily covered ( see picture ). I bought the car as it is for the interior, the car does have all standard grey trim fitted back to the car, I have not heard the car running ( should start) as it has been in storage for the last 2-3 years, the car does not come with any wheels as the previous owner wanted them back, as I quoted earlier THIS AD IS FOR A ORIGINAL FACTORY COSWORTH BODYKIT, but you are welcome to take the complete car with the cosworth bodykit, if you just want the bodykit alone like I have mentioned before you will need to take this off the car but I will be able to help you remove this off the car, I will NOT break the body kit unless the offer is right, other wise you are buying a complete original factory cosworth bodykit, the car is a 2.0 auto 1987/ D reg, ABS, L.S.D model, ( as mentioned earlier, I have not heard the car running) as I only bought the car for the interior, if you want to take the complete car with the bodykit I will provide wheels for loading on to a trailer, or you can bring your own wheels, the car is located in the HP6 area, cash on collection for more info call me on 07576195640
