Intermitant gas leak from torch . Dirty knackered torch tips or shrouds Dirty or rusty wire
All worth double checking.
If its not one of those it could be the feed slipping ir not being consistant maybe , might be worth googling if other people have the same problem and brace the rollers like on sip ones .
Actually might be gas solenoid if it has one .

But in the past I've been told that if the car still has a current mot its okay to use. Granted I'm not talking about driving from Lands End to John O'Groats, but driving the car around for a few days while you find time to fix it. For example - take car for mot a month before the current one runs out, car fails, still have 1 months mot to use while fixing the car. I expect a lot of the time in the past they would go through the mot without making any notes , ticking boxes etc , but now they have to do it all as they go and enter it into the system , hence it failing and also being down as a fail on the database which insurance , police etc use. I took my car for a mot a few months ago and asked them to check it all first then tell me what its going to fail on . The idiot then came out and told me it had failed ignoring what i asked . Either he was thick as mince or nowadays they now that once they fail it you will then have to leave it with them for the repairs [ incentdently £450 ]

I would have thought that was all blatantly obvious . Take car for MOT , it fails, car is illegal .

Jesus , they are always areas where things cross over and the boundaries are blurred . Youcan never have a definate definition so stop shoving things in boxes and getting wibbly bottom lips about it !
Agree to disagree , we can all agree that we love cars , some more than others some less .
Live and let live !

Jesus have you seen the bids ? Also it looks like he has either had that v5 for years , or my guess bought it off there for a few hundred quid , then bought reproduction vin tags and new strut tops and stamped them up to sell it as a more complete package . What a total cnut .

Great pictures , every car looks like a stunner. Pity i forgot it was on!
Looks like a nice sort of mix of interesting cars and plenty of different people , families etc . Glad its more a town event than hardcore car show which would be boring to some .

Yes, he has built a car up from parts which should have 2.0 s logbook. However he has put a different vin and logbook to the vehicle as well as having another he is offering for sale.
All illegal

Does the black nylon bit look smooth or does it look like its had a thread through it ?
Its just from here looks like its intact and hence not been fitted to your car and may have come from else where . Either that or it was never done up enough to get into the nylon bit like it should have .
