Mega thread revival... After about a year of denial, I've come to accept the fact I need a 6 seater. Looked at the little vw thing and it is TIGHT on space, sat in my friends picasso and I instantly wanted to kill myself (except the picasso kinda did that by taking my soul and giving me what felt like a compressed spine). What I'm getting at is, what is it like to live with. I used to hate them but now that I'm turning into an old curse word and a parent, Ive developed a weird nostalgic liking for these and looking for some ownership feedback

Don't need another old car despite a curse word load of enquiries my rx7 didn't even fetch the opening bid on eBay. Oh well, worst convertible cars to own through the summer.

Currently on ebay, if a RetroRides member wants it for £2500, be quick as offer only stands while there are no bids! eBay link hereDetails: For sale is my Lexus Soarer, with the legendary 1JZ-GTE (non vvti) engine The car has recently been recommissioned after being off the road for a few years. It sailed through its MOT with no advisories. The car is rust free and has never been involved in any accidents. There are a fee age related marks here and there and 2 minor car park dings (driver rear quarter and passenger front wing-check pictures). Some minor lacquer peel on the front bumper.... however if you're looking at buying this then I'm sure they are the last things which concern you. Overall it is a clean and honest car. Within the last 50 miles it has had a new Apexi air filter fitted, an oil change, plugs, brake fluid changed, new battery, Wedsport 17" wheels fitted, HKB bosskit, Personal steering wheel and a few other bits. The Lexus starts first flick of the key and drives lovely. The car is ridiculous as you would expect when it comes onto boost, Phenomenal induction noise!!! A real pleasure to drive - however it's driven. The cloth interior could do with a clean but there are no holes or wear in the seats, again very comfortable. Deep pile mats are fitted. The digital dash is fully functioning (rare), however the heater LCD display isn't - common on every lexus of this age. Driver side seat is fully electric, windows are electric, mirrors fold at the push of a button, central locking etc all spot on. There is a JVC headunit with USB input fitted. It's lowered on springs (not coilovers). Original air filter and fittings are in the boot along with the original tool kit and jack, Also in there is the coilpack cover which I'm sure I will fit before the end of the auction, it was off as I was replacing the spark plugs. Also in the boot is a new oil filter, fuel filter and original leather steering wheel with cruise control functions. I am in Hatfield Hertfordshire and available most of the time, you are welcome and encouraged to come and view the car anytime.

*NOW SOLD, ADVERT HERE PURELY FOR FUTURE NOSTALGIA* The bits you want to read
4.0l 1UZFE V8 engine Automatic - only ever came as an auto so no whining. 18" TE37 reps Back boxes deleted Strut tops modified Viscous fan replaced with new electric New aftermarket steering wheel (White w/ gold spokes courtesy of SLAMBOX) - original leather steering wheel included New disks and pads all round New battery 12 month MOT Heated leather front and back 113000 miles Modified rear lights Arches NOT rusty like most others Cd headunit fitted (original stereo also included) Bad points Car is vinyl wrapped and not the best job when up close - but take a few steps back and it looks good. Temp gauge is temperamental and often doesn't work (common fault) Carpet behind passenger seat is worn (includes new car mats) It's a 20+ year old car and is going to have age related marks inside and out but no dents or tears in interior etc. Not really any wear either so chin up chuck! All pretty minor when you consider how the cool the car is. Sounds absolutely nuts... try driving though a tunnel without opening all the windows and shifting it downAll in all its a cool car. Looks great, sounds the nuts, extremely comfortable. Bought it recently from a friend, done a ton of work fixing/replacing stuff and tidying up but it's not really for me. Would possibly do a deal on a 2 door coupe or pickup.

*NOW SOLD* Very good condition, no kerbing, lovely and straight and ideal sizing! Those that know me will know I used to be the original JDM wheel hoarder and the condition of these is actually one of the best I've seen. Run as is, give them a once over with autosol or have some ally plugs in the old holes and have them mirror polished for an #A1 show winner shine; whatever you do these will look the tits! Staggered offsets 14x6 et13 14x7 et0 PCD 4x114.3 Collected from Hatfield or Shipping available @ £45 £500

It's been a while and not much has changed. The cold weather had put a hold on things, however a recent photoshoot for a main feature in a well known magazine prompted me to pull it out of hibernation and get a few bits done (fit bottom lip, trial some 14" wheels). Sadly the 2 days I took off work prior to the photoshoot were wasted as it was full on heavy rain. Things I'll miss about Brexit #81 Back in my local spot for pretty pictures Bought these which had a funky PCD, had them redrilled in 4x114.3 to accept normal wheel nuts instead of the silly sleeved nuts which are mega rare/expensive by a local machine shop ftw! Probably wont be using them now so if anyone is interested, drop me a PM. 14x6 et13 / 14x7 et0 I've retrofitted the 15s as they fill the arches better and offer some ground clearance until I fit some better sized tyres on the 14s. I really like the old school balloon tyre look, plus they are so much more practical The oil pressure switch (of all things) has started leaking recently and the drivers side caliper has gotten a bit tight. So along with the obvious still to do (fit the 5 speed gearbox and twin carbs) it now needs a bit of spring birthday to get it back up to scratch... hopefully get it all done before the month is out.
