Long time, no threads from me! Work, life and FB have kept me from posting much, but I thought I'd stick up a thread from todays little trip out. Despite it being 10yrs old, this is our first visit to Elvetham Heath car show, its not the biggest of shows as its held on the green between the houses on an estate, but some cool stuff rocked up. We hadn't booked, so were directed into the field with a speedboat in! The speedboat! Rather nice Audi and replica GT40 Essential reading matter Identical to the V4 we nearly bought a few years ago.

I remember the Philshave tour, that was it! Don't think thats Streatley though, it was just a field with a wooden fence running up the side, no buildings nearby.

Late 80s or early 90s. SM held a show in a field in Streatley near Reading. I have vague memories of lots of pastel coloured cars. I'll see if I've got any photos kicking around.

Great to see cars of this age kicking up the dust in action.

LEGO are making their own version soon, its a Cuusoo project. Basically anyone can design their own models, get them on the Cuusoo site, if 10000 people support it, it goes to the review board and they choose models to make into kits for sale. So far there have only been three, a submarine, a satellite and a Mindcraft world, but the BTTF car is next up and should be out this year.

After reading about it on FB and here for a few years, we decided to head down the A33 to Basingstoke and check it out for ourselves. With a camper loaded up with the family and a couple of friends we rolled into the carpark and paid our bargainous £2 to park! The show is spread over a couple of big fields and has something for everyone. Tractors - I love how the owners lavish as much care and attention on mundane workhorses as owners of gleaming classic cars do. Bikes - What floats your boat? Big Goldwings, elegant Ducatti or Mustang V8 trikes? ;D

Motorsport is great!! Go watch it everyone It is, fantastic day at the BTCC at Thruxton for me, far too modern for RR though Some amazing shots there Seth, I really enjoyed the HSCC when it came to Thruxton for Easter, some great racing. Very sad end to the day though.

Very sad. I saw the Thruxton rounds of the HSCC championships last month. Fantastic bunch of friendly racers and organisers. I'm sure Christian and his Mini will be missed
