tbh I spend more time getting the colours and working with the various opacity levels to get the image well balanced and the highlights-lowlights looking correct. It shows ! your composition and use of colour is really very good and makes the images have a nice professional finesse that makes them look like they took days to do.

Nice to know some people like it. It does, however, take days to do! Although i am usually spreading the time over weekends and when i have spare time after work, so it may take less if i had all day to do one. I still feel like I'm only just getting the hang of doing them digitally right now, and i don't tend to stop trying to develop methods of drawing for quite a while, so I'm hoping to continue improving. I'm currently working on a 67' Caddy, which is practically a complete copy of a photograph, but hopefully it will teach me certain shadow and highlight techiniques which i can carry on with. Pretty pleased with how its going and of course ill stick it up here when its done.

Will get a poll up in a minute. For now, your next contest is a chance to a bit wild. It's Bosozoku, doesn't have to be a Japanese car but it does have to have crazy spoliers, insane arches and wheels with yards of dish. Enjoy.

I keep missing the polls for these contests, can you drop a link in here when you get the poll up? Can't join in at the mo unfortunately, but hopefully I will have something by the end of the Boso challenge because that's too fine an opportunity to miss.

Mmm saw the back end of a shadow parked up the other day and considered throwing some custom treatment on it... hadnt considered it for boso though! Pretty cool!

Bosozoku is a great theme, hopefully more members will be inspired to put pen to paper! Have a WIP Boso BMW M 635. A mix of Bosu and Batmobile. If I get the time I'll finish to the pic or change it for something more outlandish... putting this on now to keep the thread going! I'd also like to add that I also really like uncleterry's digital compositions. They have a really nice feel to them, great proportions, colours and balance. I'm hugely envious tbh, I need to get to grips with Illustrator etc... I've been into art all my life but I tend stick to what I know... pencils, oils, gouache, etc which are great for me, but a bit old-fashioned! Need to diversify and embrace the potential that digital art offers... I just never know where to start! (I realise I sound like a bit of an old fart... I'm 24).
