Credit to the CF van current owner who has come forward, He will of brought it in good faith and rather than putting his head in the sand he is resolving this the correct way.

A little update, chap still have the CF but has now been paid for it, however now we can't get hold of him. Have even tried writing. Is there someone in Newquay who could perhaps go round for us? Its possible there is a logical explaination like he is abroad or something but wouldn't hurt to try the house and/or see if van is there. Theres a pic of the can on Flikr taken last year. So he's been paid for the van to return it to the daughter? And now he's dissapeared? Think it might be worth mentioning this in general chat so more people notice. Pretty sure theres a few members in NEWQUAY but cant remember who.
If hes been paid, Does she have a receipt of this? If so, then surely its no longer a civil matter and the police will have to be involved wether they like it or not.

Yes I asked her if she had a receipt and she said yes. Hopefully there is nothing sinister, the guy did come forward in the first place so seems odd if he is being intentionally elusive.

Any idea on how long hes been m-i-a? I think dependant on how long it is, Id be getting hold of the cops, and or dvla . They are first to tell everyone that the v5 doesnt make you the owner. But a receipt of full payment prooves ownership.

The errm.. nice man.. who had it, refused to sell it back to Sally (for asking price!) and said it had been sold to someone abroad, possibly Holland, but we might never really know. It could be in the Middle East by now.

My faith in humanity was higher than it was...but after reading that about the datsun...  why cant people just not be such tramps going round stealing cars.. get jobs, buy your own. then wait til someone steals it off you after all your work. |

whats the road it was parked in? wasnt it cornwall or something? I'm probably going down that way for some wild camping in th t4 in the next month, if i do ill pop by and take a look....... Id get the cops involved tho,... REALY demand some action..

OKay the bedford has just been re MOTd . STill we don't know where it is, this is ridiculous. STill need people to look out for this van , as far as i know it is still in Newquay but it has not been seen for a while.
