The car that got 6-wheelers banned in F1:  Williams FW08B  Supposedly faster than any other car at the time despite being significantly heavier and down on power due to a L-D ratio of around 12 compared to the previous cars 7. Unfortunately the FIA got wind and banned it. |

Williams weren't the only ones messing about with four rear wheels. This pre-dates the FW07D & FW08D  This pre-dates them all by 30 years or so  Ferrari tried 6 wheels too.  |
