here is my mk1 golf before  after hahaha  started off with a bit of paint work to sort out a few ropey bits ending up having and full strip down to bare metal for a re-spray that is booked in with the paint shop for the 22 Aug, so I’m sure the show the weekend before will give me some retro horn to keep cracking  its not all bad though, the old man is kind enough to let me borrow his 5pot so I'm not left without a retro for the show! |

I've seen a bunch of people overhauling a complete wreck in 60 minutes on TV, so why can't I do it in 3 weeks?

Was hoping to have the Hillman's boot properly straight and that and the bonnet in fresh paint but I don't think I fancy heading to the dungeon in South London now this week....

Rochdale not ready, so going in the Triumph again.

I haven't finished my project from just before the 2009 show never mind this one!
Wanted to go this year in my E21 BMW (haven't got PAS rack yet), then the E32 BMW (haven't got engine yet) then the Skoda Rapid (haven't got rid of all the rust yet) so yet again I turn to my daily. 1987 BMW 525e E28. Standard. Hopefully not by then.

this was the Fiesta at RRG 09 ;D  this was it before I took the engine out, it now has more rust Was hoping to get it this year, then next year, i'll be lucky to get it there the year after, but when I do, it will be a full blown hillclimb/sprint car, so let's keep the sprint events please  |

My Anglia isn't going to make it.  Simply not enough time to build the engine and check the rest of it over. Hopefully get the hotrod up there instead, which only has a list of about 50 things to get it ready |

In other news I decided to take advantage of the weather this afternoon and do what I could with the boot of the Hillman outside at home. Its not 100% but its better than it was. So there rioters! |

Ive got escRot back.
Its nice and solid whilst also being fairly grim still.
Oil + filter change on Monday, paint the wheels and hide a couple of wires and we're there.
Oh, and organise some camping gear...

MR2 Turbo, as it is questioning Toyota's reputation for never going wrong and in the 2 years I have had it, it's never failed to run right. But as everything is reaching completion it decides that the boost problem I sorted should come back worse than before, drop a cylinder, and make smoke signals that would make an Indian camp blush Looks like I'll be in the 106van or Disco if I have to move up in the world, or some other wonderful pile of **** I managed to buy of eBay this week! |

well for some of us its good the show is coming along quickly, as I’m sure the weekend of retro metal will give us the mojo to keep cracking and get our projects ready for RRG2012 hahaha
