Sainsbury's are doing a half price toy sale just now! Own brand cars 37p, Hotwheels 55p and Hotwheels 5 packs for £2.87!

I got this lot for less than a tenner! :

Camaro, TR6, Bluebird, Fairlane, 53 Cadillac
Volkswagen pack with 3 beetles, a mk5 and a mk2 Golf
Bone shaker, custom van, hot Mini, Bronco and Lupo (it's got nice rims)
Moderns- Corvette ZR1, Ford GT LM, Hummer H2, Fire Tahoe, Fat new Mini



My fab four (got two if each so I can keep a mint set!). Been looking for these for ages!

Do i spy a treasure hunt in that lot? "Bone shaker" top of 3rd row, looks like it might be

An 'ordinary' TH, without special wheels but with the exclusive paint. I found four in one day

How do you know what's a TH and what's a super?

Green band on the side is the quickest way, and it says T-HUNT at the top.

The Super ones have rubber tyres and chrome wheels and say Super on them as well, although I forget if its at the top or where.

Are they rare? Worth looking for? May need to swap it out the Xmas bag onto my own stash! Of course when I get out of here I'll now be obsessed with this treasure hunt business thanks guys ;D

The Supers are, the ordinary ones aren't in the slightest. That's why it's so annoying, it used to be just any of them were worthwhile.

Yeah it is very anoying how Hotwheels brought in two types, Royal PITA

"T-Hunt" and "T-hunt$"

They like to use the $$$$ Sign for the special ones.

I still pick up both types, But it was easier in the early days. I have a fair old few now I'm just trying to think how I'm going to display them in my room lol

Got home today! Hooray! Double checked and the Lancia Rally 037 is indeed a Hotwheels with "Scala 1/43"on the bottom. Has it possibly been badge engineered from Bburago or someone as it looks and feels really like their stuff?

The Merc is a mystery- no make on bottom. All I know is it came back fro
my grandparents holiday to Germany in 85 ish and it had a pull back mechanism and rubber tyres (front wheels plastic rear wheels metal)

They also brought me a silver Siku Mk1 Golf which seemed really exotic compared to my usual Matchbox and Corgis! Wish I knew where that one went!

While in sainsbury's on saturday it was noted that they have a new range of hotwheels in after their toy sale. The price has gone up though.

One particular model of note was a gasser minor traveller, in US mail livery. George was given the choice of several muscle cars, that and a gasser willys, he chose a bright yellow chevy vega. So the gasser minor has stayed in the shop.

I have just been given the "don't you think you're taking this a bit far?" talk. The bag of Christmas cars is currently standing at 56. She seems to think that's too many for someone who's not two yet! Women!

What's more annoying is when she emptied the bag to count I realised Christmas is ages away! I just want him to have them now! There are so many cracking motors in there!

Got a spare key cut in the indoor market : whilst weighting for old father time to pull a finger out his i spotted this little gem had to have it. Going back for a corvette, they had 3 left, i'll post a pic if any one want one i'll sort it - and yes thats all they had left. Anyone missing a cortina from there collection let me now - id like a nissan caravan or vintage nissan van as a swaps!
