Proper job there! I love to see clean, welded ally. You are going to have to move the fuel supply connection on the fuel rail, but that should be nothing to a man of your talents. Be interested to see what connectors you are using too. The Goodridge ones don't have the same male taper as OE fittings.

Thanks CR yer the fuel rail needs sorting (there is another type that fits the 1.6 so I will try that first) then there's the custom option too. Hopefully the gearbox will arrive this week so I can start fitting things!

Man, I just read the whole thing - fair play. That manifold looks great, I hope you explain the amount of work that went into it to everyone that ever sees it! Bookmarked

Why isn't this flooded with comments? Awesomly cool car, loving the colour, and the wheels look great for what they are. The fabrication is also great, would love to have access to a mill and lathe myself Bookmarked!

As above. Lovely car with some cracking metal work to boot. Nice to see something other than a C20XE being swapped in too.

Thanks Chaps - I'm trying to put my stamp on it. Hopfully i will make some more progress over the christmas period. It would do me wonders if i could decide what i was going to do about the rear axle!

Lets hope we ALL get some time to get on with our projects! Looking forward to your seasonal update ;D You do have a few choices depending on power output / effort / availability etc 1. Manta A axle with LSD. Just need to find one! Benefits are its an easy known swap. Power capacity may be marginal depending on above. I know some Manta owners running 2.0XE power still use the original (wider) axle without grief! 2. 5-link something else with fabbed brackets, links and body boxes etc. Ford/Atlas (expensive). Volvo (availability? - re-drill hubs) Salsbury (Scimitar/Jag etc) (as above) Again, these have been done before so some parts are off-the-shelf. 3. Mount any of the above by another means such as those discussed in your other thread These will take a lot more time / effort and need more work on the shell. Good luck with your ponderings

Thanks Curryracer i'm still pondering and I don't want to completely immobilize the car and take the engine out etc until I have a plan of action. I am also considering something a little different however i'm unsure if it will work yet.
