First time at the show and was a really nice surprise to allowed to park our van in the show - really wasnt expecting that!
Only tiny thing I feel that could be improved was could do with a few more trade stands to nose around when the hill action is on break.
Other than that - considering bringing our mini next year too and possibly putting the van on the hill
Huge thankyou to everyone that made the show possible - you did a fantastic job and I will be recommending your show in the future!

Had a great day yesterday, just as good as I remember (missed it last year sadly) and as always will be back again (hopefully won't forget my MOT next year, and might actually have a track toy again by then too ) Big thanks to all those who helped run the show and make it such an enjoyable, easy and laid back experience again ;D

My second year at this event. Another fantastic Gathering, everyone involved should be proud. Such variety of cars, great scenery, totally social. Wonderful.
Ran my car up the hill, the handling was spot on, so gave it some beans!
Followed Judgie part of the journey home - sorry about the Beetle's breakdown - and after a day like that, a run back through the leafy Cotswolds, windows down as the balmy heat relented, is a fine way to end a perfect day.
Again ;D

this was my second time, I'm not overly sociable/confident at meeting "strangers" think last year i spoke to 3 people all day. this year was determined to get to know more peeps, camped the weekend, travelled down with KFW and Roaulmoat on friday. i was the gimp saying helloo and handing out glow sticks... my cunning plan was if i saw some one without a glow stick... i hadnt said hi, would get their name and that way would meet more people .. worked well to satrt with... then i met john smiths and some one introduced me to skittle/vodka chilli/napalm smells all nice like its going to be your friend... but then it turns on ya and savages your throat.... then it moves on to play with the next person... by the time it comes back round forget how bad it is, ooohh it smells nice, swiiig....arghhhh. anyhow, met a lot of ace peeps... but after the booze, woke up sunday and couldnt remember who was who so was gonna have to start all over on saturday! saturday was a lot calmer, recovery position out side my tent all morning lashing coffees down great time later on, met Alex and Hannah from NZ, loadsa others... spent a while with , and I'm really sorry... cant remember ya name, bloke with the satin brown van that was being painted, funny Beard, cigars and pith hat!!! sound chap ,Tigran/boris other beardy bloke ermm... and kfw drin king beers and eating crisps till the early hours. met bladerunner and phil 2002gimp, good nosey round the van, which ive decided i need. sorry to hear ya had to rush back, really hope all is ok and not to much damage/loss and a big hello to every one else, this is the highlight of my year, sad, i know but there ya go will sort my photos later.. got em on th ecomputer and most look pants if anyone managed to get any decent pics of my celica would really appreciate seeing them. thanks to all the organisers, i love you all! be back next year... hopefully with some sorta van as well

Absolutely blinding day out. Kids really enjoyed it this year too (probably something to do with blasting up the hill lol) and they even asked if we can all camp there next year. So, I guess I'll be provisionally putting my name down for next years camping already!! lol
Big up for the organising in the hillclimb paddock. I don't think it could have been any more efficient. And appolgies for holding up the queue for the last run of the day. I got caught off guard having a drink and then the damned ignition switch fell apart as I tried to start it!!

Our 1st gathering with the Kamei Golf and it was an amazing experience, all the team involved did a fantastic job and the hospitality was spot on, food and drink was priced well compared to some shows we have been too. Thanks to Chris Eyre above for keeping an eye on the safety running of our Golf and being there to see to any problems with her, Cheers Chris & yes your car went like sh*t off a shovel when you took me out for a run :-) i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k518/polojon/retro%20rides%20gathering%20track%20pics/DSC_0875.jpgHad some great feedback for our Golf from people :-) Amazing day and cars, can't wait till the next one comes around again.

was awesome! Camping was excellent fun, was concerned about the muddyness of the entrance but that was solved and worked very well. Having only one entrance/exit combo meant a bit of a queue sometimes but unavoidable due to the mud i guess. Show was heaving, hadn't expected it to be as busy as it was, felt loads busier than last year. Track action was really good, the lanes system worked brilliantly think everyone gauged it right getting back to their cars (even KFW ). The only downer was the confusion over signing on sheets and bands, not necessarily an RR problem. I was there when it seem to kick off over track cars (no mot/tax) and them not signing the sheet, and then about helmets. They seem to be sticklers for the rules unlike last year? Was handled well in the end it would seem. As was the dog situation. All in all a roaring success yet again Thanks to all who stewarded, organised, and helped run the Gathering (Ian, James and Michelle and who ever else i smiled at and directed me )

Absolutely blinding day out. Kids really enjoyed it this year too (probably something to do with blasting up the hill lol) and they even asked if we can all camp there next year. ;D One of the highlights of Sunday was sitting at the top of the hill and watching you go past with your kids waving and absolutely beaming in the back. Fun for all the family This was my first Gathering and it was awesome. Watching a 24-litre, 650bhp Bentley smoke the tyres up the hill, and then watching a, erm, Nissan Prairie with the exhaust sticking out of the window and a Don Corleone horn was an experience that I don't think can be beaten. Until next year maybe

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

I cannot convey how much they enjoyed it this year. Even if I did get a bit short tempered with them a couple of times (I think mostly due to the early start and lots of queing) but that was short lived once we'd been through the drivers briefing One thing I've learned, to get the most out of these kind of events when you take your kids, is to involve them as much as they want to be involved. If they want to help you with the car, let them. It oly has to be a little thing, but if they think they're helping they feel a whole lot more a part of it As anyone who's read my Vitesse thread knows, I get my kids as involved as much a possible, and I believe it paid dividends yesterday. They loved the hillclimb, that really was the icing on the cake for them as they'd been begging me to take them up the hill since they saw people doing it last year! So, again, MASSIVE thanks to all who organised the show, the paddock and everything else that goes on behind the scenes that we didn't see. Roll on the RRG'13!

Absolutely epic weekend. The camping was immense with lots of alcohol and giggles and much much more. Met loads of new friends (some I didn't realise who they were!) and saw lots of old friends.
Wide variation of cars and a massive thanks to the organisers. Definitely the best show to hit every year.

Absolutely gutted I didn't make it this year - Golf has been off of the road the past year and I really wanted to aim to have it done for the RRG. Alas it was not quite finished in time.
Glad to hear everyone had a great day. I was so grumpy on Sunday haha, half of me wants to look at all the pics and the other half not!
Next year! Bring on RRG '13
