I've read a few comments about the state of the campsite Sunday pm but when BC and I came to it Monday morning it was only about 30 minutes work to tidy it all up. He said he thought the Area52 crowd had done clear up? So come on you lot, gimme some names so I can offer some thanks! I sure was very grateful Monday morning, and even more so if it had been as bad some comments make it sound. Come on chaps, stand up and be applauded!

I can't speak for any other camp, but on behalf of 'The Bottom Of The Hill Crew' (we're thinking of having T-shirts done with that on for next year ) down in The Swamp I'd like to nominate VIP and Speedman for their sterling efforts on Sunday morning clearing 'our' area up. Speedman and myself had done a similar job first thing on Saturday to make sure we hadn't got an absolute mountain of beer bottles and cans to clear up before we left. I couldn't really understand that criticism either, much like 2011 I saw plenty of folks carting black sacks full of garbage when I left the camping field.

Cheers BD, Mike also took some bags up to the skip on sunday morning and somebody did the same saturday morning too. The camper always has a roll of binbags in so when one was full it was tied up and replaced.

It looked in pretty good shape when we left dude... I saw a fair few people loading the skip up with bin bags... having spent a LOT of time at Santa Pod... it was really refreshing to see!

I was astounded by the mess on Sunday morning and picked up a huge amount of with Rich and Mrs Rich just in a 15ish square foot area near where we camped but I guess that's just the mindset people get into when they've had a bit of a drink... It still wasn't great when I left but I enlisted the help of the good lady to load up as many bags as would fit in our cars on the way out

I believe Mark (Speedy88) and a couple of others ran a load of bin bags up to the skip late on the Sunday while I was packing up.

Myself and the Dutch crew cleared up a few bags worth. I took 4 sacks from just behind us...... but that's already been dealt with.
I think it was also just forgetfulness as a few sacks were elsewhere (5 or 6) but were tied up and ready to go - just hadn't been dropped on the way out.
I think it was very isolated pockets that left stuff all over the floor.

A bit of tangent but still on the camping subject a couple of suggestions/thoughts from me (having been a camper all my life at major events and elsewhere) 1) Access - At certain points I found that I had to negotiate my way all around site to get back to my tent. Would it be possible to have a marked gap between rows of tents etc, like a fire break? I'm not saying everyone laid out in grids or sectioned just a few columns or rows 2) The potential for fire incidents this year (chinese lanterns/big bonfire) had me looking for the nearest fire point - are there any, is there a protocol in place for this. I definitely wouldn't suggest having extinguishers around the place, they will only get let off in the middle of the night unfortunately. 3) 2 strikes and your out policy - I think this is already in place but if you are caught being a douche you get warned, second time evicted. 4) Entrance - would it be possible to have a side lane for new arrivals so that the main entrance isn't blocked up fro those trying to get a run up to get out ;D lol 5) Information - leaflet upon entry to the campsite with details of the nearest supermarket/pharmacy/camping shop/amenities, rules and regulations etc might be a good idea, send them out with the wrist bands maybe Just a few ideas to make the camping go even smoother than it does already maybe
