With tow bars being bolted to the chassis, and some using thicker/more metal than the chassis, it's actually not surprising that you've done that much to his car. Bigger levers require smaller loads and all that.
If it's your fault, take it on the chin and move on. If the person stopped in a blind section where there was no time to react, take a lot of pictures and explain that to the insurance.

Need to approach this in the retro way, and that is, you get your dads mate to pull the dent out with his landrover ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Seriously though, must be gutting, but give it a few days to sleep on it and I'm sure the outlook will seem brighter, best of luck with whatever you decide to do with it

given your situation and being on a budget,if you know anyone in the trade that can assess the other car try and get them to look at it or get an independent inspection if poss,a guy I used to work with got a bump (that scuffed his towbar!) and got his garage owning mate to "confirm" the floor was distorted.the damage could be true but I am wary of the claim culture and would hate to see you driven off the road due to someone being greedy.

First the tree and now a pickup, that dolomite has a life of it's own and is like a kamikaze!
Hope you overcome this challenge as you've done all the rest!

You should use a tree to pull that out at least that way the tree is giving something back lol , weld a couple of thick pulling plates on the front corner and nice steel cable round the tree and get snagging car on it until its back in some sort of shape Am pretty sure that will go again mate what have you got too lose after all , don't give in mate get it done ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) something similar to this although not around engine and not as violent haha

Utterly gutting - it does not want to live does it?! Hopefully you've beaten it into submission now. Everything can be fixed, I had a very similar crash in my old 306. It was a bit simpler because it's all bolted together but the principles are the same. The chassis leg was bent so I drilled and and tied it to the back of my mums Rover and got a run up, that pulled it out. The secret is to "reverse" the crash. Get the wing off the car if you can, it'll straighten up okay by the looks of it although the front panel may be a bit of a pig. I've got a grille, headlights, indicators, bumper and lamp surrounds you can have. Some photos of my little mishap. imgur.com/iOCF2Imimgur.com/auqkjCFimgur.com/ddiamRJimgur.com/WQnegXgJames

I'm frustrated on your behalf with this event, I've never known a car so unhappy with its own face.

Sorry to hear of your latest mishap, though glad that you at least had a chance to enjoy the results of all your work so far for encouragement & proof that it might at least be worth any further efforts you put towards saving it.
