glueing windows back onto the hinges.

hi everyone.
was doing some work to the hs getting it ready for th 17/18th for dsg 40th anniversary. and noticed the quarter window had come unstuck from the hinges. what can i use to glue it back on again? Elliott.

Back in the day there was a specific product for doing this with, I'm pretty sure a long established motor factors would be able to sort you some out. Otherwise I would say you could use tigerseal if you can clamp it up while it goes off

From what i can tell , your options best option is probably to call 3M and see what they recommend . There does'nt seem to be anything exactely for your need , the nearest being windscreen sealant , knowing that it will a least stick to glass . Maybe even try to geta email response froma manufacturer?? Maybe one of the upper end kit car makers who would use it on there windows ?? Lotus

Can you remove the hinge from the body ?
If so I'd be tempted to take window & hindge to somewhere like Autoglass depot and see if somebody will use some of their proper commercial grade stuff for a few quid. Might be cheaper than having to buy a full tub / tube of the stuff.
