The Mazda RX4 needs the gearbox looking at. Investigation of clunky, whiney, grindy noises that started in 5th, then 4th, then 3rd, needs to occur but the bit that's stopping me is that i got my arm put in a plaster cast yesterday!! Most inconvenient for gearbox shenanigans  |

Just gotta decide which set of rims to run on and fit my spandy new dashcam. Then a quick wash and polish and the Carledo is good to go.
Now i've said that, something is bound to break at the last minute!

Well just as I thought my cube was ready to be enjoyed instead of tweaked further it starts misfiring - replaced spark plugs - carries on misfiring - coil pack on cylinder 4 replaced - drives perfect for 5 miles until coil pack cylinder 4 connector plug catches fire - fixed with a replacement plug - drives lovely again until coil pack connector plug on cylinder 2 catches fire 2 miles later. Currently back in the garage. No error codes or engine lights until the connector plug melts.

Get front wheels balanced the thought of driving for 3 hours with a shaking steering wheel is not a good one, other than that fit the siren when it turns up...... Oh and fix the leak on the exhaust. Think that's it!

The LC did 1040 miles to Le Mans and back and for the last two weeks it hasn't been driveable - I promised myself I'd fix all the issues after Le Mans before RRG my sucess rate is around 50% right now...... Still there's always the Merc....... |

Just a couple of jobs on the 940: fit my new lights, try and find a wheeltrim to match the 3 on the car, fit a new stereo with an AUX input and finally add yet more lows.

dolomite has mot but will not run tidy so theres that the go kart still has no grill or brakes and i havent even started the trailer to put it on yet so busy busy

Touch metal, my car has been back for 54.3 trouble free miles now - turned out that the engine to bulkhead earth had worked loose and also the coil pack connectors earth cables were replaced to be on the safe side. So now all that is left are cosmetics / little touches on my general improvement road plan - hope to get as much done as possible for RRG. Good luck to everyone with major work left to do. |
