Look seriously smart! Not loving your choice of tyres but i imagine all the money went into the wheels. now get them fitted so we can all drool some more. Cheers, ha, these tyres are what were on the front steels - I do plan on getting a pair of eagle F1s for the fronts too. Unfortunately you can't get them in this profile at a high enough load rating.

Went out on my lunch and applied some more of the quiksteel / evo-stick equivalent putty to the adjustable brackets to fix them into my desired position. The lego cards and paint wipes packet are just there to support them whilst the putty hardens and I'll remove them later.

Blimey, I didn't realise the tweeters were that big Wheels are looking very good though, be interesting to see how the ceramic wax holds off corrosion

They do look very large when they're mounted.
How much of your view do they block?
Look great either way.
That's a great shot of the dash! Is the thing that looks like a screen above the centre console adjustable? That looks badass

That looks badass Cheers, visibility is fine - driver's side sits below the top of steering wheel and the passenger side is in front of the a pillar from the driver's POV. Yes that's the driver info screen and angles flat in line with the speedo or up to about 45 degrees towards the gear stick.

It's all looking rather good.
Except for the car parking scrape, really sorry about that.
Never fun.

Well plans this evening were to fit the wheels but they don't seem to be holding air! I've put this down to the eBay tyre valves. At least I'm hoping that's the cause. I'll have to take them back to the tyre shop tomorrow evening and put fitting of them on hold for a bit. Not wanting to waste the evening I got onto wooden round things instead of metal round things and build the new pods for the mid range door speakers to give them more breathing space. Outers cut... Inners cut... Speaker mount holes drilled... Pod mount holes drilled, bolts pushed through as I drilled each one to keep the two pieces lined up correctly... Reverse, to show the increased breathing space around the cone, much better. Holes drilled through into door card layer, I obviously need to cut the hole in that bigger too but I'd run out time to mask them up to prevent damage to the vinyl and jigsaw the hole bigger... I'd like to swap the pod bolts for countersunk ones so they're more subtle but I can't see any on eBay. So remaining jobs on the doors are following... 1. Cut out bigger holes in door cards. 2. Sand edges of new top layers to match the supporting rings. 3. Trim the supporting rings and top speaker mount layers as separate pieces. 4. Bolt pods to door cards. 5. Bolt speakers into pods. 6. Bolt door cards to structure sections which are already bolted onto doors. And then there's "just" the sub box to complete and the 10W midbass floor pods to build!

Checked already if the bigger pods get in trouble with the dash when doors are closed? No but I know my dash and door layout inside out now I know that anything behind the front edge of the doors will fit.

I've removed the temporary props from under the tweeter pods now so hopefully they can support themselves with the help of the metal putty I've applied to the brackets. I gave the windscreen and dash a quick clean too.

right then, now we have to have a picture of them whilst cruising down a dual carriageway! Complete with reflection of the camera car in the middle of the wheel

Hmmm, I like the wheels, but since you´ve blacked out all the many chrome parts of the car, shouldn´t they rather be painted black, white or whatever your future plans are? I considered black wheels and would have refurbished the steels if I'd gone that route but didn't think black would suit the vinyls and without the vinyls I thought it would like a bit like an average straight out of the factory T5 with the vinyl option box ticked.

Any plan to bring the vinyl decal around the front bumper? Not at the moment- I like the clean front too much but next year will consider either changing the side graphics or carrying around to the front.
