Its quite amazing what you can do with Volvos and Saabs, bullet proof engines easily upgraded. My saab 9-5 estate is running 300 bhp without to much hassle. Great 940 keep the upgrades coming. Great photos Chris

Great photos Chris Swedish engineering; maybe ikea stuff falls apart in a gust of wind but their cars are built to last.

Sweedish engineering saved my ass today, the other car, well I can't say much for the germans now I had a 'drifting mishap' with my old one and ended up going sideways through a hedge and clump of young trees at 30-40mph. Only damage was a slight dent in the door and lost an indicator. There's still a hole in hedge now more than a year later haha!

Nothing really recently. Drove it a bit and fitted a backbox but retained the rest of the exhaust which is much less in your face Got some plans for over winter and smaller jobs to do, but have been really busy recently and show season is as good as over so no need to rush things!

This thread is ace.
It has inspired me to keep and spice up my new 940.
Few questions:
- what does the CVB do and what does removing it achieve?
- is there any point in a nice FMIC?
- have you tried cambelt and oil seals?
- Is the PVC a pig to get at without inlet manifold off?
- what do you consider the 'best' exhaust combo?
Cheers,
F

I am considering just removing the back box on my 940 and also wondering about exhausts too. I have a lovely stainless system on mine but it's not a performance one, just a replica of the OEM one. The back box is clamped on to the rest of the system so could just be pulled off and a straight pipe installed and I'm wondering what it would sound like.

Didn't realise you had a thread mate, it's amazing what you've done to this and still kept it sleeper, looking forward to this year's gathering! Wicked car as always

Loving this build.
I've got an 850 T5 myself but I have a lusting for a RWD brick too.
Just out of interest, what wheels are those?
