so, its been a bit quiet on this thread. there are reasons.
first one, i had a bit of a 'fleet reorganisation'. in other words i sold some cars. youll have to wait to see what and to who, but I'm sure theyll break cover soon
what that gave me, as well as a lot of space, was this-
some debts were paid, as where some bills, some set aside for a holiday, then i set about 'reinvesting' the rest into other projects, including this.
the biggest chunk went on these-
BF goodrich, wide whites, 6.70x15. tyre choice is critical on a car like this, it has to be 100% right to pull the look off.
I'm sticking with stock wheels, so i need something to jazz them up a bit. so i bought these too-
original '60s cal custom ones, not mint but not far off, and the chrome on the old stuff is better so theyll last longer.
heres one sat on the spare wheel i also picked up-
next job is to pull the wheels off the car, remove the tyres, and get them blasted and painted.
ive also managed to pic up a couple of bits of grille chrome. a passenger side prop blade thats better than mine. not mint, but not expensive either-
and one wraparound thats pretty good-
so i actually only need two bits of trim now- the other wraparound and the stainless bit that goes on the gravel pan.
