Up for sale today is this classic and iconic BMW 840 CI. This is a 1996 P registered car which we bought last year to tidy up and use as a daily driver due to the LPG compatibility of the vehicle - it's well documented that these 4.4 litre beasts can be somewhat thirsty so the LPG was a welcome addition for practicality since it's around 60p per litre, the car will also run on Unleaded should you feel the need to burn some fossil.
By viewing this ad, there's a good chance you know how desirable the BMW 8 series models have become, especially in recent years - prime examples can fetch upwards of 10,000 - 15,000, the keyword here is 'prime' which naturally at our price-point, this one could certainly do with a little tidying up here and there, we've got a little rust bubbling here and there most of this is contained to the roof area. Anything under the car has been welded in the last MOT (of which the history is available online)
That being said, this isn't a 'rotten' example BMW like many of this age can be, it's just at the right time for the next owner to show him a little love and attention, this could also be applied to the beige interior; it's a little scruffy but not the worst in the world by any means, some trim could be sourced easily for anything that isn't present but nothing prevents the car from being the attention seeker it is.
MOT until NOV 2017
The mileage is around 189,000 approx which is probably a good sign since the car clearly hasn't been sat around doing nothing during it's life, it's been used and enjoyed like we have owning it.
He's got service history with him which looks like it goes to 2013 and the V5 is in my name there also the handbook for the car.
To summerise, this is a fantastic stepping stone into BMW 840 ownership, it truly is a supercar from yesteryear. This car is big, beautiful and goes like an angry Panther, certainly not for the faint hearted - it's bloody quick.
