Thats where my old Peugeot 505 family estate went after it caught fire! I Told the buyer, and his answer was' I don't care so long as it'll get on the trailer, and it'll still be running around long after you and I are in our boxes' Then the only ones they wanted were petrol carb'd models, even if the wiring was toast.

It used to be one of those car facts that everyone knows* That big Peugeot estates are/were popular in Africa, especially the 504. presumably the soft suspension for rough roads was a big attraction, along with the space obviously. Egyptian taxi. *See Princess Anne and the Reliant Scimitar.

About 3 years ago I sold my Grannies rotten but mechanical sound 1.6 (carb version – which apparently was very important detail) Corolla 4 door on Ebay – It had 27 Toyota stamps in the service book but no MOT due to the rot. I would have been v happy with £50.
We got the best part of £500 for it after some bizarre bidding war.
A Nigerian gent picked it up and good as gold handed over the notes and promptly binned all the beautifully filled service docs etc in the bin around the front of the house before loading the car up. Granny and I were stunned.
