I've got concerns over the decibel of my car 👎🏼 Anyone have any experience of using a decibel killer? (The insert type) Looking at eBay you can pick one up for circa £20... I’ve got one, bought it fot a track day and definitely works! Not cheap though - mine’s a ‘decibel devil’ if you want to Google it. I’ll be bringing it along just in case although I don’t expect to need it - if I don’t you’d be welcome to borrow it.

Do we know what the Goodwood policy is on GoPros and the like? Are suction mounts inside the car ok? (I know some places say they must be physically fixed to something). Also are they ok to be fixed to a helmet?

On a sprint competition you have to ask permission to carry a video camera

On a sprint competition you have to ask permission to carry a video camera Not a competition don’t see it as an issue - however most track day events stipulate suction mounts are not acceptable and that’s what I would recommend

At Goodwood, recently, I was able to video with the go-pro fixed in the car but I was not allowed to film as a passenger while carrying the go-pro.

Less than 2 weeks to go! Fingers crossed that this big yellow thing in the sky hangs around. Just gone back through this thread and there are some simply stunning cars that are going to be out on track.

Well my Type RA has sold and my EF race car is far from ready so I'm hoping I'm allowed to swap my car for the sprint to my EK track car, slightly newer than the other but still light and 200bhp at the wheels.

With only one weekend left to prepare our 'Toys' for the "RRGW 2018", or 10 days, is there any update on Track Groups and who or what we'll be on track with?
Given the number of cars in a group etc, are we any closer to discovering who or what is in each group? I appreciate Retro Rides may still be waiting for some final people to pay but I guess we must be pretty close...?
Excited I Am.

You have reply to your PM provided no newer than 1999 I'm OK with a vehicle substitution - might have to move you group wise but I'll check that out when I get 10 mins

You are correct We still have a few outstanding payments - and I need to fill a few drop outs with reserve spots And then I need to possible re-jig a few groups Then I need to find time to publish it all

Hi everyone I've been working my socks off the last month respraying the Scirocco in time to get on the track at Goodwood. Only got to paint the bonnet, boot, a door, fit all the glass, do the headlining, fit all the gubbins, get the tracking done, repair a loom I cut with an angle grinder, weld up some top mounts and mot it and it'll be ready..

Rear slaves fitted, brakes rebuilt, brakes bled, diff topped up, gearbox checked, lowering block fitted, front shocks stripped and rebuilt, rear hubs and steering rack greased. I'm I leaving stuff until the last minute? No. Am I putting off doing the 10,000 word project? Perhaps.

I saw a mention somewhere of cars that are out on track will be asked to park in the main paddock for AM and PM is this still the case?

I saw a mention somewhere of cars that are out on track will be asked to park in the main paddock for AM and PM is this still the case? For the morning session cars we have an area near the pit lane for staging. Whilst morning session is running afternoon session cars have allocated parking spots in the covered paddocks designated bays with signage . In the lunchtime interval we will swap everyone over so afternoon session cars in staging area and morning session cars if they wish can park up in the covered paddocks designated with signage. These covered paddocks span the length of the three themed paddocks so when you are in one you will be opposite either the street machine, thundersaloons or lowrider areas It will all be clear when you see
