Got my paddock pass! And living on an island suggests everyone else should too!
Question and apologies if I’ve missed this....
Can you wear shorts / t shirt while driving on track?

Arms and legs must be covered or you won't get on track , any circuit requires it whether competitive or not

Chaps Brilliant day! 4x2 laps, or 2x4 laps is the question. The added chicane is really unnecessary. Discuss? The pub to be in now is The Fox Goes Free, in Charlton. Up the hill past the racecourse, and fork right at the top. . Down to the bottom and turn right. Very good pub!!

Can’t multi quote on a phone so in order Great glad you enjoyed it 3x2 if we do it again with all being well a bonus of another go for some or all We are trying to give people experience of a sprint not a more track day type experience Sorry if you didin’t like the chicane but it did what we wanted it to do. Discussion can be in the Track Activity Feedback thread where we look back at what went well or badly and seek constructive critisism to enable us to improve thr event if we hold it again

I will put it in the other thread as well, but from a spectator point of view it was awesome! Really great to watch, great diversity and loads of action.
Well done track crew!

Fantastic afternoon! 2 laps was good, 3 would be ideal IMO, very happy to get a 4th go round so thanks for that.
Only criticism would be time wasted waiting for noise testing that didn't appear until after 12.30, but only a small gripe.

So much fun.
Unfortunately my engine spun a shell (I'm guessing but that's what it sounded like) so I'm off home on an RAC transporter. This is becoming a habit. Unfortunately I will miss tomorrow as a result.
Just wanted to say thanks to all concerned and despite my engine woes, it was a great day. Met some really nice people in the paddock and chatted about my favourite subject. Anyway, hope you all have a terrific day tomorrow.

I do agree with your coned chicane remark , however , the organisers have the problem of 80 track pass cars and drivers , about which and who they no nothing . Some will be bloody quick around Goodwood in anything , even a van , others have huge power but possibly no experience at Goodwood and others who have never been on track ------------- a very tricky task . On competition events it's much easier because they can ask you , while you're waiting , what your PB laptime is at Goodwood . Yes , I was disappointed the cones were there but also glad we had no off circuit incidents yesterday or we'd all have been curse word off while barriers were repaired ot oil cleared , it can take over an hour on occasions . I had an absolute giggle whipping it through those nasty little cones in 3rd gear and just a tiny lift . Passengering only one friend in session 2 yesterday , so I could have some quick laps a little lighter weight . My thanks to everyone involved , particularly Ian Marsh , who had the hastle of sending me the pass twice , cos I deleted the bloody thing !

It's simply because it was the first time I'd ever seen that, and I've driven at Goodwood, on track days and sprints, numerous times, since '83. We'll done to Ian and his team, for managing the difficult stuff! Extraordinary energy and drive, I think.

Saturday on track was fantastic guys! I have been driving track for 10 years and run our own sprint, the track sessions were well organised, staff super friendly, both RR and Goodwood. I loved the added chicane although I did kill two of your cones so sorry about that lol. Really relaxed atmosphere on both days, not like any other normal show in the UK. Love it!! See you at the Gathering in the EF instead this time.

Oh sorry only thing I would agree with as mentioned by a few I think an out lap, fast lap and cool down lap would be ideal. Very nice to meet some other RR members too including fellow Honda fan benson

Cones were awesome and added a whole new dimension to the circuit please do it again! :-)
3 x 2 was also perfect.
Assume a liscence/ insurance meant the overtaking rule was in force, fortunately our group all had a chat and worked stuff out but there were many groups where running order was clearly wrong.
being held immediately after the run in the paddock area, not very good for cooling after 2 hot runs.

All MSA sprint meetings are run that way , them's the rules guys . Straight out on cold tyres as fast as you possibly can without coming off , then back in to wait for your next run . Each run is a single lap . At Goodwood you get a practice which doesn't count for any championship points and that is a standing start lap followed by a flying lap , then back into your paddock spot . There's no time to build up to your max , like circuit racing , you get used to the discipline of sitting in the car , driving the circuit in your head , while you are waiting in line . Totally different skill to circuit but very much cheaper to be involved in .
