markbognor that is annoying. I had some success using nail varnish remover when I locktited my front diff 🙄 I had thought that the C34 was 2 speed already. And interesting that they have a shorter front drive shaft. All three trucks are looking great and am really liking the winch mounts 😎

Here is a quick pic of mine working for a living loaded up with wheels and tyres! My light switch wiring turned up today so I now have that plugged into channel 5 on my receiver meaning that I can turn the lights on and off. The switch for the winch is arriving tomorrow so hopefully that will make that operational again using channel 4. Quite a lot of wiring to accommodate but I think there should be enough space - will get a picture of it when it is done! In other news, I also found an Amazon Gift Card that I had forgotten about making the purchase of an MN99 (Land Rover Defender) a more realistic proposition...am I allowed to post about it on this WPL thread or should it get its own?!

George's C34 is now lifted on after market shocks so that the MN tyres clear the rear tub. These have a shorter throw than the originals, so it's very much all show now. I had a few runs today with the C34 & 44, changing the wheels about.

markbognor great videos! Quite a tricky ascent up the steps there - I need to create something similar in my garden 😎 My C44 now has working front and rear lights that switch on and off. Am sitting here feeling pretty pleased with myself. Winch wiring tomorrow 😁

Looks like it could be fun. That's the Chinese home market truck, they are getting the stock one. Worldwide release later is going to be a drug truck apparently.

I got the two speed fitted in George's today. Annoyingly I have also broken both bonnet hinges, and lost a pin and bar from one of the CV joints. So the orange bonnet has been sprayed blue, not sure what I'll do for mine now. Before, long shafts + kit single speed. Yes, the axle is the wrong way round and the shaft contacted the motor can. After... Short shafts, a combination of RBR/C and WpL, because I didn't want to break the thread lock on the axle ends. I would have split the shafts at the dog bone, but the RBR/C shafts would come apart in the same way the WPL ones do. It goes much better now, but I think that may have been as much to do with one of the solder joints (since corrected) on the board to battery lead. Whoops. I think I've got running two WPL boards together sussed now too. I managed to switch my car onto the car two setting and they operated together, but now can't get it to do it again.

Oh FFS. 3 mins into the boys first run out this evening and the rear axle pinion shears off.
I'm keeping 827sterling in business at the moment.

Issues with the boy's C34 aside, mine ran for the first time this evening. I had to swap the bonnets over between mine and his when the hinges broke. I repainted the previously blue one orange this evening, the clear on that will get to dry overnight. It's going to get CNC routed cut down doors and once I find some suitable styrene rod I'll build it a chunky cage too. So heres my C34KM, it's got a metal single speed, and four link conversion - mainly so I could compare that to the C34 and 44 we have still with the three link/Panhard Rod. Wheels are black dually set fronts with the cut off backs of MN wheels glued in, but there's also a set of widened C34/44 wheels with B series tyres that could go in too. Radio is a hobby grade two channel and a 1060. Might give a 3S a go, but I'm a bit apprehensive about that since the axle breakage we had today.

I'll get on the bobbed doors today if there's opportunity, and find some styrene rod to have a look at doing the roll bar. The rattle can gasped it's last while re spraying the blue bonnet and the coverage isn't as good as I'd have liked.

I got straight on eBay and ordered some, they should be here tomorrow. I've also ordered a 3s for my single speed C34. Let's see how 11.2v (or whatever it is) compares to the 2s powered two speed.
