I don’t think they are the same. No rear porthole, no fender flares on the bottom and the one has the trim line along the a pillar to the front fender, the other does not. I realize they could have been added or taken away but removing (or adding) seem unlikely mods.

Yes I thought he same but it’s looks to have had lots of restoration work done and quite often the 70’s era mods are binned. Theres a few things that make me wonder if the restoration has added back seams where once removed (I’ve had to do this myself in the past) as the mods often encompassed gobs of filler that would eventually blow out. will try and find out more about this and will report back

Just seen this on Facebook. Not exactly missing in action as it is there for sale and not one I have seen before but thought it worth adding here as radically altered.

This was mine. I sold it in the condition seen in the magazines. However, it ended up parked up in a barn within 2 years of me selling it and sounded like it must've been driven across a field or something, as MOT failure details indicated suspension and steering was knackered. V odd considering those components were still relatively new in 2002/3. A more recent owner contacted me around 2009, but I lost touch with them in 2021. I think they changed the suspension but never got it back on the road. It ended up sat in their garage. Would love to know where it is now! ‘Mauve chop top Mini 1380GT’REGISTRATION: CTB 850T1979 Mini GT with 4.5" roof chop. 1380cc engine. Pearlescent Mauve Paint “Video shows original build in 1275cc guise. Then Rolling road + Castle Combe trackday after nut & bolt rebuild into 1380cc as featured in MiniWorld and Mini Magazine.” *Is this your car? Please PM me* I’d really like to know more.. If anyone has any information or remembers the car please do post or perhaps you’d like to know the whereabouts of a car you remember? Please post that too.. please remember to add the registration * please don’t post negative opinions or reactions - keep it clean people *

‘AUTO SYSTEMS SIX WHEELER MINI PICKUP’REGISTRATION: currently unknown This mini takes me way back.. I suspect this car may still be in storage somewhere in the uk as it appears to have been removed from a scrap yard? A vague memory of this makes be think this may have been rebuilt? but currently I cannot find any further information *Is this your car? Please PM me* I’d really like to know more.. If anyone has any information or remembers the car please do post or perhaps you’d like to know the whereabouts of a car you remember? Please post that too.. please remember to add the registration * please don’t post negative opinions or reactions - keep it clean people * There's a car not dissimilar to this outside a garage in Taunton. It moves regularly and is on standard steels. I'll try and get a pic the next time I go past.

Great updates, look forward to some pictures Dropped by yesterday, the car is stretched but only has four wheels, so no relation at all to the pictured car.
