Hi guys, My friend gave me a link to the other Panda on here so thought I'd sign up and share my own too. Been lurking for a while... It looked sportiest at this point: But the alloys have since been sold and it looks like this: I'm gonna refurb my spare set of wheels in white over Easter which should make it a little funkier. Otherwise it's completely standard apart from the fog lamp grille. More pics here.

Cool as you like! My bird had 2 Panda Colours - one pink & one green, they were pretty cool little beasts! ;D Just my opinion, but i much prefer it without the foggy grille & WITH the alloy rimZ! welcome BTW!

Hey, I recognise your car off the Fiat Forum majig - I've been lurking around on there looking for answers to a couple of questions I've had. I will get round to signing up! My fav bit was reading about wheels and camber issues, and someone had posted that 14" x 5.5" or summat were the biggest that would go on. I thought 'is that so?'. ;D I too prefer it on the Cinq rims - is that grille in the first pic a later model one? Mine isn't a Mk1 grille but it looks completely different.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

The grille in the first pic was fitted to "MK3" (a term used loosely) Pandas from around 1992 onwards. The MK2 (from around 1986 to 1992) is like the fog lamp grille but without the lamps. The MK1 (1981 to 86 or something) has the gorgeous metal grille, half blank, half slatted. Sprox on the FiatForum has retro-fitted one to a MK2 as well as Cinq alloys and an anti-roll bar off a Lancia Y10 Turbo. I've got the fog lamp grille because they're rare as hell and it looks pretty funky IMO. Plus the extra light is handy down the twisties.

As I think I mentioned earlier I have a spare set of steel wheels which I intend to paint white. The wheels are currently black with a bit of surface rust, and after seeing the Audi 80 thread I've been thinking about the wheels again.
I'd like a brilliant white finish, and if I was to do them tomorrow I would clean them, sand them down, clean them again, then do a couple of coats of primer then once dry spray the proper paint finish on top. Is this the best mode of attack? My biggest perplexity is where to get the primers and paints for a good price for a good product.
All suggestions welcome. I plan to do the wheels once this uni term is over and when I'm back at work, so probably on evenings and weekends in the garage.
Cheers!

Oh and planty, still wondering what Mini is yours? Saw a red one with a straight-cut gearbox hooning around a couple of weeks ago. Sounded yums!

Looks really cool, I think you need to get some alloys back o it, it looks really cool in the first pic. My preference would be for the non-spotlamp grille too, but if it's useful in the lanes the function wins! Oh, and lower would be worth 1254 cool points.

Is it white with standard steels and trims? No, quite frankly. It's black with satin gunmetal Barchetta steelies. ;D NB - sorry for the OT on your thread fuzzy!

I am tempted to get more alloys but I'm yet to find a design (for sale, at least) which I want. Apart from some old old Abarth wheels but they were really expensive and RWD offset...
