Other people may want to know the same answer so i'll ask the question so we don't all look daft on arrival 1 What is the earliest you can arrive on friday 2 Do you need to book in anywhere when you get there, or do you just go and find a space and set up like Gaydon ( I was first in last year) ;D 3 can you stay over on sunday night and travel home on monday 4 can we just drive in and out off the camp site friday and saturday or will we need pass's to get back in once were there 5 Are there plenty off showers or just one between the mass's 6 Just a general question are there any local supermarkets near by to get fresh provisions, like bacon and eggs milk etc If you can think off anything else ask away I'm sure someone will come along shortly and answer them

5 Are there plenty off showers or just one between the mass's Not sure, but if it's of any help, I could tow Kev's Hunter estate down with me - we'll fire it up first thing in the morning, and anyone who needs a hot shower can stand in front of the radiator grille...

theres a morrisons not far up the a303 (i think thats the road) go to google maps and search for the venue, then you can search for nearby supermarkets.

You can arrive from 3pm. Any earlier and the gate to the campsite will be closed. The campsite will close at 10pm, and there will there is to be NO CARS MOVING OR ENGINES RUNNING after this time. 2. Just rock on up and find somewhere to park. 3. No, the campsite needs to be vacated Sunday evening. We may be able to make an exception for a few, but David and I need to clean up and our agreement with Haynes is that the campfield is vacated Sun eve. 4. You will have a wristband to enter and leave the campsite at your free will. Just be back before 10pm - see point 1. 5. I forget exact numbers, but I think its just 2 or 3 showers. 6. No. Its in Somerset. There is nothing there, all goods are even still transported around on horse and cart! ;D Yeah, there are plently of local supplies, and a petrol station right around the corner that even has a dirty 'donalds.

I like to power gadgets! I don't mean leave it running overnight or anything, but say I wanna run my engine for 5 mins at 11pm cause I've been charging my DS and phone all evening and quietly listening to music to get some charge in the battery I don't think thats unreasonable.
I'm sure there will be a lot noisier things than my exhaust going on in the camp at that time.

Number 6. There is a Spar/petrol station/McDonalds about half a mile away, on the sparkford roundabout of the A303, Castle Cary is a maybe 4 or 5 miles, and wincanton about the same (but much more direct) down the A303. There's a Morrisons almost straight off of the A303 at Wincanton and I have no idea what's in castle cary because I tend to avoid it ;D
Not much point driving away to get there IMO, but if you're coming down on the M3/A303, then Wincanton is the last civilisation/supermarket/cashpoint/cigarette counter before Sparkford

Sensible rules. One point - tri... staring your engine uses enough current to charge your ipod for a week, and would take 10 mins of tickover to replace. If your battery is flat in the morning, I'll happily give you a jumpstart

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

See the other thread. Sorry if you find this unreasonable. We have tried treating people as adults, and its been abused. We feel we have to do something, and this has been our decision. You WILL NOT be allowed to have you car running after 10pm. Generators will be fine - i'm yet to find any incidents of someone being run over by a generator.

sounds all very sensible... are the groups having designated areas when we arrive ie south est/south west etc... also has anyone thought about tac-signs from the 303 to guide those who don't know the area in?
