Well here it is...the Cressida was finally lowered today...I was hoping to go lower but the front is on the bumpstops! I'm really pleased with the finished product...many, many thanks to Kelly (Wagoneer) for mucking in and doing a splendid job! Kelly, you're a hero.

Hey rmad, it just goes to show what can be achieved with some rubber gloves and an angle grinder. It was nice to get my hands dirty lowering a car for real. 35mm sir? I don't think so....

That's fantastic, it's as low as it needs to be, any more would just be silly. It looks amazing!

agreed! very smart
Looks better in the flesh than the photoshopped version. Wheels fit nicely under the arches.
Any lower and you may have crossed the line into pimp territory.

You know, that is a big improvement, it looks really long and low. Does it help the handling much?

That looks absolutely"Bling"!,lose the tow bar though Noooo, towbars are a defense mechanism. The towbar on my friends XR4i was the only thing that stopped some silly little plastic fiat thing from smashing his back panel in. It smashed the bumper and plastic turd that adorned the front of the Fiat and left the XR4i untouched. Great to teach stupid drivers a lesson, look where you're going before you rear end my Retro classic

...I was hoping to go lower but the front is on the bumpstops! What do you need bumpstops for?! - cut 'em down, get another inch or so, you know she'll appriciate it! Any lower and you may have crossed the line into pimp territory. And you're point is ?! ;D

Mornin' Christoff...good weekend? The Metro belongs to someone else...I won't give you her name, but it begins with 'N'. The problem with the bumpstops is...I don't know where they are! It's got a strut front end, so I guess they're internal, I'm gonna have a word with Steve (DS hydraulics/air) and find out what he does.

I think we have to take the struts off. Those top bits (technical stuff) are covers over the shock piston with a rubber stop inside at the top. Cut 'em off I say. Get that grinder going!
Let's 'flake the Metro!
