My parents have recently moved to France (lucky ducks). As well as opening the amazing world of Leboncoin up to me, it has also given us a good place to go on holiday. So we visited in May and read about the amazing town of Oradour Sur Glane. The basic history is that in WW2 the SS carried out a massacre in the town. The town was then left as it was as a standing memorial. It is an absolutely fascinating place, with an incredible atmosphere. Even though it was fairly busy the day we visited it was almost silent. Wikipedia entry about it is HEREAs the town was fairly prosperous, when it was left there was a fair amount of cars....so some pictures. The HRV is based on the Honda Logo Supermini, so I don't think suspension is as easy as the CRV which takes Civic stuff.
It comes with an eco version of the D16 SOHC Vtec engine so tuning shouldn't be an issue. The D16s can be turbo'd and make ridiculous power.

I barely make it to any shows nowadays but this one has become a must do over the past few years. So off I toddled, unfortunately in the modern. Was not disappointed, relaxed atmosphere, excellent eclectic mix of cars and then the Hillclimb as well! 150 competitors over two days. So here's some pictures. As always there is a lot of them on a weird angle and this set has the bonus of a thumb print on the lens! I imagine i'll be turning professional soon The Competition cars: IMG_2642 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2648 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2649 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2747 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2756 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2761 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2765 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2762 by Tom Horn, on Flickr IMG_2748 by Tom Horn, on Flickr Tom

Don't know what won at Fueled Society (I left early too) but this Honda was the car of the show for me. Just the pure understated quality of the car really impressed me. If I was offered the keys to any of the cars there, this would be the one I'd want to take home. ---------------- However, I must say, this year's show didn't feel as good as the past ones. Fewer really good, stop you in your tracks kind of cars and less over-all atmosphere I felt. See I felt the opposite 😂. I thought the atmosphere was great and there were some great cars. To be fair though it was a busy weekend for car shows. The hillclimb was excellent as well.

Look for an entire seperate chassis that the Range Rover body can be dropped over, then Axles, steering brakes etc are all sorted.
Also you can set the body at a good height on the donor chassis.

Decided last minute to pop down to this as it is on my doorstep. Not normally the kind of thing I go to anymore but had a good couple of hours wandering around. Good mix of stuff, a lot of very high quality cars. Why are you running a decompression plate on a normally aspirated engine? The head and block were over skimmed so a decomp plate is being used to bring the compression ratio down to a useable lebel. 12:1 I think.

Turbocharged D16 Honda engine and gearbox in my Polo.
Once I've completed a slightly less complicated swap and my wwlding has improved a lot, I really hope to do it.
One I've always really fancied, not really ground breaking or ridiculous, a CG13 Micra engine in a Mini. I just think it would be perfect. Light and revvy, 5 gears and fits in a round nose! Plus an easy 100hp with some bike carbs which will sound excellent. Alas I can't justify the price of a Mini.

Yes! Your threads are always one of my favourites every year!
How was it in general this year? From what I've seen on social media the police were particularly "dilligent" this year.

Are this generation 4x110 PCD or 4x100?
There's a lot of cool quad wheels in 4x110!
