Rear exhausts on the XJ6 always bugged me, love the exit location through the valance but then they had to twist about to get to the airflow. More likely they were done so people wouldn’t burn their legs on them getting to the boot, like the Volvo 240 exhaust

Actual year added to title. The decade isn’t quite sufficient.

Nothing that we know of unless HoTWire has been playing again. Clear your browser cache maybe. What OS and browser are you using?

(A very sorry for itself) Fordson wrecker. I think a lot more of it has returned to nature now. That's a shame. It looks quite good in the photo. Makes a chap want to rescue it. Damn good job I don't have space or Mrs Sweetpea would have to be much more understanding of my desires. She's pretty understanding already. Piccie was taken a long time ago. The Fordson has sadly sunk up to it's axle more than once in various locations in the field, requiring quite the operation to move each time. Has lived a full and hard life, last on the road, presumably working in 09 IIRC, cab is full of K Seal bottles. So I suspect it was flogged to death before it's 'forever home' was found...

I concur with the images. It’s not the forum resizing them either. They were just wee to start with.

AEC Regent fire escape? That's got a hell of a bonnet on it. Looks almost American. Like a baby version of a Diamond T. Anyway, if that was a bus chassis they had to move all the steering and gearbox controls back down the chassis. I'm thinking that might not be as hard as it sounds. Just move the steering box back and make a long drag link that points forwards... Anyway, is that a very pretty little Militant photo bombing on the right of the picture? James (A very sorry for itself) Fordson wrecker. I think a lot more of it has returned to nature now.

AEC Regent fire escape? thats a good looking fire truck!!! It had a replacement larger diesel engine as an in service-modification too (we think) as it was used into the 60’s or 70’s, and it has very little silencing. Sounds gorgeous.

Had a friend in the WCRCT send me some steps from his Volvo logger he replaced with nicer ones, as we were talking about adding some detail to the HellHound. Looks much better to my eyes anyway. Following on from that, I thought I could make a brakepipe stand, or pogo stick. Came out well! Further projects have moved forwards in the form of doing a thing with that green truck. HoTWire , HARDCORE , it has begun...

Milwaukee blades are what we use on ours at work. Really good at munching through exhausts and bolts, would make very short work on panels.

Me either. I have no idea what you are talking about most of the time, but I can appreciate the amount of time, effort and attention to detail these models must take. I can remember drooling over the King Hauler in the toy shop window, I had no idea they were still a thing. "Mall Crawler BroDozer" is quote of the thread for me. I always wanted one from the first time I saw one. Finally been able to justify it and there is a surprisingly large following and community for the 1/14 trucks.

I’ve got a few Tamiya… cars. Thread’s here if anyone hasn’t spotted it. Save cluttering up this thread. Some cool old school RC’s, keep up the posts!

Seeing more than a hint of Metro/R100 inspiration on both of those. Looking at it I'm sure those are Rover 100 lights. Love to see more pics/info on this. We used the drivetrain from similar in a road legal buggy, 2 cylinder Kubota diesel and open-belt CVT. Must be a flyer with a micra motor!

Hi- sort of, it morphed into one although I thought there’d be some interest in the first half of the thread (the finding it bit). Please move it if it’s breaking the rules here. Cheers If you want to post it as a for sale ad you'll need to add the details to the title or make specific for sale ad for it
