Sorry if it's been done before. I learned of these today, and was surprised as MJ Lee in Yorkshire have been making them for nearly 20 years. They're mostly for 4x4 fitment, which is probably why I've missed them. But they are kinda mega. mach5wheels.co.uk/index.htmThis came from looking for Modular steel wheels in the UK, and wondering if I could get them in 4 stud fitment. Anyway, show us your cool steelies

on the subject of this does anyone know if there is any such thing as a blank steel wheel that you can put your own bolt holes in as my daf has a real oddball 3 stud PCD on it

Weller do a plain steel outer in various sizes that you can weld your own centre into. I found them on e-bay but i guess if you check the web site for more info.

The place that makes those first steelies will do custom PCD and offsets. I asked about A set in 18x9, et40, 5x112. They can do it, but at £195+vat per wheel

I posted a thread a while ago on split rims made up with a flange welded to oem centres to mount regular 3 peice split rim lips and barrels. Unfortunately I called the thread something "creative" so now cant find them.

Nice one dez - I thought of you as I was typing that last post, it brought to mind a comment you made ages ago about naming threads.

They need to be formed in the steel so that you have a seating that allows for a certain amount of tension in the wheel to hold it to the hubface.

Just something like how annoying you thought it was when threads were not named to clearly reflect their contents and to aid in searching at a later date.

Potentially helpful hint: If i cant find a thread I go to general board and sort threads by username can be tricky if you ever change your name as it throws out the alphabetical feng shui though wish we could subscribe to threads. anyway I digress, back to cool steel wheels, the ones in the OP are spot on, really fancy a set. Would be cool to have a set like this: With a custom inner adaptor for err I dunno let's say 4x98 and 58.1 cb [/daydreaming]

wish we could subscribe to threads. You know you can bookmark threads yeah? (button at the top right left of each thread when you're viewing it, then view your profile and hit bookmarks to view them all). Good tip about ordering the board by username, hadn't realised you could do that! Those are some pretty awesome looking steels, I do like them. (Edited because apparently I don't know my left and rights.)

A set of banded ones didn't sell on ebay last week (because they're V**xhall?) How much were they asking for banded ones? Granted they didn't sell but did they just have a high starting price? I'd have been interested as it goes...

According to the website they will weld your centers into wider rims.
