Here's mine: and if you require further "inspiration" this was my most recent Capri shaped purchase!

Good choice mate I love Capris and I'm thinking about getting one before summer next year. Here's my mate's very awesome mk3 3.0s tucked up last winter

I'm old enough to remember them being introduced in 1969. On my paper round a customer had a 1600GT with XLR pack and I used to drool over it every morning. Mate had a brand new JPS as a 21st birthday present. I had a 1.6 LS that was put into storage at less than a year old after the owner became ill. It was 10 years old and had done less than 10,000 miles ! Unfortunatley I had a XJ6 so the Capri was used mainly by my wife and she lost 80% use in her right hand after an accident so needed something with PAS and autobox (I bought a 1.8 Golf GL auto) so the Capri just sat for several years until I decided to scrap. I'd love another but it'd have to be a pre facelift MKI - preferably a gold 1600GT with black bonnet the same as the one I lusted after as a paperboy :-)

and a ratty head turner Looked so much better without the rust As a kid my mums chap had a few mk3's, got lots of fond childhood memories of going sideways in them around the same time a bloke that lived behind us had a yellow mk1 with black bonnet that he refused to sell, that was the car that really gave me the capri bug and I've wanted a mk1 ever since. That was around 24 years ago and I recently found out that the mk1 is still there. Turns out its a broadspeed bullet, I got in touch with the owner through a mate to see if he would sell it but apparently I couldn't afford it. As fair as I can find out he hasn't really touched it in a those years and its now rotten as a pear (the spare wheel that was in the boot is now sitting in the grass underneath it)

I have owned a couple and I am toying with the idea of owning another one, this time the superb 3-litre S in Mk3 flavour!!! The trouble is I think I need some help to 'push' me in to getting this car, goodness only knows why...?! I want it (I desperately want it!) but I know it may not necessarily be the right thing to do right now so I am in a quandry. I've loved Capris for as long as I can remember but I've got to say; If it's a choice - keep the Granada, there are loads of Capris around but that Granada is something special.

I always remember the very early one in "Carry on at your Convenience" Then there was the Tickford. Again I remember one was used in a bank job getaway and featured on an early "Crimewatch". No prizes for being inconspicuous there then - There were (I Think) 92 made? Then there was the Turbo Technics Conversions: I loved Capris as a kid. Never owned one tho. Nearest I got is the back lights on my GTM are off a Mk3

I too have a love of capris, I think sooner is better then later to buy one as prices are never getting lower. I have listed after one for far to long, but I just have never been in the right place at the right time.

I always remember the very early one in "Carry on at your Convenience" Amazing... That must have been an insanely early one and a great bit of product placement from Ford (or not as the case may be)! I can just see Sid James tooling about in that letching at all the birds...!!!!!!

Do it and I'll trade you a drive in the Capri for a drive in my Princess. You know you want to. The Mk3 Capri is a big Want for me, has been since I was old enough to appreciate what a car is.

I'd love to keep the Granada but I've done my time with it and I'm definiately more 'The Professionals' than I am 'The Sweeney'...!!! Do it and I'll trade you a drive in the Capri for a drive in my Princess. Sounds like a very tempting over Mr.V...!!!

Well, if you've promised yourself then there's really no turning back. I was always a VW chap until 2 years ago when I inherited my Dads '74 mk II that he bought from new. It's now my daily and quite frankly cool as f**k.

the cortina was the car I always promised myself - so I bought a Granada: but I was 19, and couldn't handle it's drink problem. so I bought a cortina: I drove it for about 9 months, then left it on my dads farm for 4 years. In the mean time, I saw this by the side of the road: only had it for 2 months, but after that I knew I had to have another. so here we are now:
