Interiors are tough on this sort of thing if you're keeping any of the modern stuff. The pedals disappear nicely and it's good to see the old dash in. The modern seats don't clash too badly, surprisingly, throw a blanket on them and you'd probably not even think about where they were from.
The steering wheel is another matter, reckon it's the grey plastic making it look so out of place in there more than anything else. I wonder if you can swap any of the old column trim and the old steering wheel over to bring it down a bit but keep the modern column's functionality? A satin grey on the dash and visible interior bits might blend things together a bit better too, for minimal cost, though you'd lose the nice wear and tear the dash has developed over the years.
Coming together quite well, all the same. You can see the whole thing steadily coming into focus as you line more bits up.

Cool, thanks. It's staying exactly like it is. These are budget builds. They are sold usually before they're completed. It's comfortable when you sit in it and it'll be fast & fun. The details don't matter that much.

How are you getting around the gauges issue on this one, as you're using the original dash?

Let the new owner personalise to their taste without having to do all the awkward stuff you're doing to get the two cars to work together. Best potential for a sale since it's not personalised to one person with none of the stress of trying to figure out how to finish it off.

I knew the topic of the gauges would pop up! I could do a custom wiring harness adding about 1500 USD and delete them altogether... Ooooorrr.. I can leave the original cluster intact, but hidden. Hidden in such a way that if you look closely, you'd be able to see the clock faces. (probably not while driving) but you will be able to see it.
So to answer your question without answering your question- hehe
I've got a plan...

Many, many long nights have passed. Many beers consumed. Sleep? You can sleep when you're dead. Meanwhile- grab a beer and watch this:

That's very suddenly coming together and the new bits of interior don't look so out of place as when you started. Looking at the hidden instruments I wondered if it was possible to hinge the grille so you can drop it out of the way if you wanted to. Because what you need on this is more work It's looking really good, really neatly packaged.

Haha! Thanks guys! Finally made it to 1000 You tube subscribers and that means I can now collect on click through advert revenue. So far, I can collect $95.41 USD lol I just want to be on TV hahaha But seriously, after watching a bunch of this drivel- I'm just not that entertaining lol It's FUN and I'm loving it right now. Tired as hell, did 55 hours in less than 4 days, but it has gone to the clear spray booth this morning and on to a car show this weekend. More work For me, very soon. The next build is already in the works! I may actually get the chance to finish the interior or that drop down dash panel- GOOD idea! Too bad I don't have several of you over here to help! Ahh, just drink beer and keep watching, door is always open

Normally I'd really not like those wheels on that sort of car. Here, with the subtle arch lip flares, it works really well. Favourite part of this whole thing is just how much beefier it looks with barely anything being done to the body. You just wouldn't expect it without widening arches and chopping the roof.

I'm still surprised at how tough and gangster like it appears. It is far better now, than we imagined it would be. And do you know- nobody said anything about a dodge engine in a chevy! Not one complaint!

Wheels are a bit like shoes. You just change them when when you feel like it. I am not a real fan of the current shoes but hey...they are just shoes/wheels.... But regardless of shoes/wheels I really like your creation. It's an awesome looking car!!

A bathtub Nash would be pretty awesome, if you could find one cheap enough.

I like the car concept better than the pick-up since it allows you to take more people for rides in the finished product. Not that the trucks are not kool in their own right.
