from what i gather on google it's a diesel turbo used on several Mazda's

have looked into it and it is a variable geometry turbo. i've been told this give problems on petrol engines.

Where did you get those weld in vents from? Like the amount of metal you have replaced. Seeing all that rust being cut out makes me happy!

they are off a late 1600 decklid i bought for a fiver, not exactly the right vert ones but look ok. yeah i had a think the other day and not much of the original car left, roof, tunnel...emmm....

Loving that! Did'nt realise you got that much HP in a WBX! and the front valance is really subtle! Loads better than drilling a million holes in your bonnet! Maybe I should go for a WBX motor in mine next time i rebuild it! Loads more HP for your money!

does that engine bolt upto a standard bug box? yep, exact fit, the flywheel needs to be changed from a 235mm to a 200/210/215mm type4 one though, and input shaft is shorter so yo need to fit a needle bearing to the flywheel. Nice one mate! yeah it is a nice option, altho after trying the power next time i may go for a scooby lump as there are loads more parts about for it. saying that... i am hoping to get new MS EFI and turbo for it and that should be scary enough for now.

more things, after busy month doing panto i am back on it. been cleaning heads and engine dunno if i showed you but i have made ali door cards for simplicity also fitting a later/modified pedal assembly
