A little bit more done on the front, I'm quite indecisive about how to shroud the radiator so just knocking things off the list so it simplifies options. I have put some side panels in to turn the wobbly profile of the inner wing in to a straight one so I can later make a nice square cover over it. Also I have trimmed the original front valance edge and extended it as to duct air better to the radiator. I have a bit of time off soon so I should be able to get more done. This is good.

Looking good i havent seen this done before. It looks like a DJ motor which has nice power range are you going to upgrade the box to a 5 speed aswell? You could get a trans strap to help tie the engine down a bit probably ought to stick some discs on the front too! have fun

Thanks, I'm hoping to swap the whole lot to a golf engine and box at some point. still need to see though. And brakes are on the cards as I've driven it with this engine before and it's a bit nuts.

Cracking on with the radiator tin, it takes ages to get the profiles work with the original shapes so allot of fitting and fettling. That however makes it look like I work at a snails pace. I am however getting there, got a fair bit done until my wire ran out so the remaining bits and the valance will have to be done monday.

So I got the Front valance sorted, It took a while but now looks nice, however I did curse word up the alignment a bit so it's not 100%. I closed off any holes that would let any air or water in to the bonnet, there are a couple of pinholes but they will be sorted when it's seam sealed. The tube for the bonnet catch cable is now in to bits to make it easy and be able to remove the valance. I also finished up the valance trim and added some captives to make it easier to remove.

Finally got the front ready for paint, gave it a quick once over with primer today, I'm glad I have no more filling and sanding to do for now.

Amazing work, this thing should fly, the 2.1 in my DoKa made it pretty quick and that weighs, well, quite a lot

Had a bit of a clear up and I'm waiting on some bits so not much done at the moment but here's a couple of pics. Note the powerful front brakes.

I will be making another whole front setup once it's got an MOT. At the moment it's just so I can get it legal, rolling and out of the barn. One will be taking it easy until actual brakes arrive.

Cracked on a bit with the rear as I'm waiting on some bits for the front today and I made up the brake fluid reservoir. I need some hose before I can plumb it in.

All the rear is empty and ready for a clean before I finish and paint it. And the new wires are getting laid out.
