Ah, found it. 100bhp and 1143cc. So no log book changes needed for engine size then! lol! My 12a rx7 was rolling roaded at 120bhp,the only changes it has was the old restrictive exhaust was replaced and the air pump was removed and all the other emmisions rubbish. It did the qtr mile in 16.2 which i didn't think was bad for a 1050kg car and driver with a belly. The cc was listed on the bulkhead id plate as 2 x 573 cc,but was listed as 2.3 on the logbook. Apparently it's hard to get rotaries taxed properly now,but if you're fitting in another car then it's probably easier. The one you found in the link is a 13b which is a 1300 or 2.6 litre with efi and 136bhp,but i'm sure it could be carbed easily enough. Fuel economy is poor on these though if you're interested in that kind of thing. Have a browse on www.mazdarotaryclub.com for info and engines for sale if you're interested.

Triumph speed triple engine would be awesome Didn't someone fit one (or was it the engine from a modern-day Triumph Rocket) into an MGB?

thats the rocket III, apart from the sequential gearbox , i can't really see any point to putting it in a car, 140bhp from 2.3 litres? even the americans can beat that. The speed triple however makes that kinda horsepower and is well under half the size.

I'm not on about the whys and wherefores; somebody has done it, I've seen the pics (but can't find them on the net) and it's worthy of mention. Besides, we don't know the exact spec of that car so maybe it has more than 140bhp. It would be nice to know.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.
