Fantastic work as usual but I'm going to go out on a limb here and say; you will drop the frame sooner or later. I see the benefit of doing it your way as it'll be easier to line things up again BUT in the long run, to prep the underside after welding etc I think you'll find yourself removing the frame.

My brain can't compute that it's FWD.
You still need it though.

331. When you sit in the back with the armrest down "just to see what it's like" I sat with a cup of tea for 30 mins in the garage last week. LOL! I once got changed in the back of my car and decided to sit there for a bit when I was just because I hadn't spent any time there before. When you and your mate are going halves sharing a house and you pick the one with a 4 car driveway, paved garden and a garage like I have just done with my mate! I'm doing the EXACT same thing at the moment, dismiss the perfectly nice house for one that's smaller and needs work but has a big drive and garage. 328. When you type the number '328' and have to delete the 'i' you automatically put on the end.

Manual 300ZX with tax and test for £500 is a bargain! Looking forward to the progress on this

I do like that shape on those wheels! Keep it looking exactly like that, OK with the rear a little lower, stick that 320bhp YB and a manual box in it and that will be one nice car!!

Great project. Love how you talk about taking doors off as if it's routine when working on any car, bit like the Haynes 'disconnect the negative terminal' advice before every job.

Thanks Tony. I'd love to say they've been fitted and it's all back together but I've been full of cold this weekend and basically managed to do sod all.

That maximum wade depth...are you saying it's fine to keep going if the ash tray is underwater? Looks brilliant fun

Slow progress at the moment as I've recently purchased this: img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/P1020740.jpg[/img] But I know how much you all bore of my Hondas lol, so.... Driver side arch done: img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/325i/Exterior/Mechanical/Rear brake pipes/P1020736.jpg[/img] img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/325i/Exterior/Mechanical/Rear brake pipes/P1020737.jpg[/img] Again, any rust was treated, primed then painted. Now for the bulk of the underside; it's a pain to get thoroughly clean due to all the nooks and crannies but again, degreased, rust ground down and treated, ready for paint: img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/325i/Exterior/Mechanical/Rear brake pipes/P1020739.jpg[/img] img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/325i/Exterior/Mechanical/Rear brake pipes/P1020738.jpg[/img] As you can see, I've treated the rust differently on these bits. It's been ground down and then painted with Bilt Hamber's hydrate 80 which 'converts' the rust. Now although I never usually trust these kind of treatments, I've tested this on a couple of pieces of scrap and it's good stuff! Again, this isn't concours. More Honda news, I sold the Executive today so here are the 'finished' shots of it: img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/Honda Accord 2/P1020744.jpg[/img] img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/Honda Accord 2/P1020747.jpg[/img] img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/Honda Accord 2/P1020745.jpg[/img] Also did more on the underside of the BMW: img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/325i/Exterior/Mechanical/Rear brake pipes/P1020749.jpg[/img] img.photobucket.com/albums/v609/FiestaTom/Run arounds/325i/Exterior/Mechanical/Rear brake pipes/P1020748.jpg[/img] I've given the important parts 2 coats with only 1 coat on the 'top' panel that completely covered by the tank.

Hi Guys
My car (99 Honda Accord Coupe) has a leaky fuel tank. The seams have rusted pretty badly and started to leak. I can't seem to find anywhere that sells new tanks so I'm left with reconditioning. I've read various things about the Por15 Tank Sealer but I'm wondering how I can fix the rusty seams; going anywhere near them with a grinder is not an option lol The coupe seems to have a different tank to the saloon unfortunately so finding a good used one is pretty much out of the picture.
So, can anyone recommend anywhere in Hampshire that can recondition fuel tanks? or indeed anywhere that I may not have tried that sells new re-manufactured ones? I've phoned a radiator reconditioning shop who say they de-fume the tank and weld it up but they don't touch the inside or give any guarantee how long it'll last.
Any help much appreciated guys.
