that hole is the funniest thing ever ;D ;D ;D did you not just think of jimmying the lock or going through the rear seats? surely replacing a rear bench or lock is easier than a tailgate?
;D ;D ;D I'm still laughing

my car cost probably the same as the depreciation of a focus as it leaves the forcourt. MPG - its got a 1995 mondeo engine in it with a mappable ECU - if I want economy I can have it! ;D ;D the power to wieght should be greater than any the majoriity of performance cars out the box, 250bhp/ton should see off most of the exec cars, japs, hot hatches etc....... on another forum someone had to fork out £700 for a new HID headlight on there polo thats like 1/4 of my budget so far! compared to a new car, if mine breaks, i know the exact price of the parts, probably blag it trade, knowing that i wont be charged £40 an hour labour to fix it........ my dads (company) mondeo got wrote off when he blew up the engine, costing £5000 to replace and fit!........if that happened in the escort - turn computer on : ebay.co.uk : search 'mondeo' : order : price low/high : buy it now (would be under £100).......half a day swapping it over

vans get my vote, I'm surprised actually, to see such a huge array of styles this year, previous years of CF have been a rather boring array of RWD escorts on minilites and arches.........
good work!
my car 'will' be among that list next year

;Done thing ive noticed with restoring my car is, when wanting to buy raw materials, sheet metal, box section, sheet perspex etc, theres nowhere thats really open to the public to do so.
currently I'm having troubles trying to find a sheet of perspex.....needs to be about a metre square and about 5mm thick.......cant find it anywhere.
previously finding sheet and box metal was difficult, but being pals with john at ashley its made it a bit easier.
when i was building an amp case i wanted some 'nice' wood too, but couldnt find anywehre that would sell me a small peice of teak etc...
anyone got any good places where you can buy any of the mentioned?
oh hi btw, I'm still around.........

awesome guys, as ryan said, we were only there for the last half of sunday due to a hectic weekend beforehand, even at the tailend of the show there were still some impressive cars and still worth the effort ......could only imagine what it was like at the peak of the show.
'just' missed slaters metro, seen it as we parked up but he left by the time we walked over, ah well!
only just twigged it was hotwire after we spoke to you, thanks for the weekend!`

my escort was a double up for a 2" block and a 1" block, there were still room to go lower both front and back if you make the correct tyre choices - i.e 175/50's
