Ok when I start my car the battery light stays on and the alternator dose not charge till the engine is revved is this normal ? And with no load and idle I'm only getting 13.3v ? And I'm only getting 5v at the plus side of the coil when the engines running I thought it should drop to 9v ? Are all these things related ? It's s 2.8 Granada

It's plumbed in to the coolant System, I had a look on eBay and had no luck so looked at finished listings and found one that didn't sell so messaged the seller and he still had it and only £5 posted, It's got the same part numer apart from it has 85 at the front and its gray, but I've been told it's the same and will work so second time lucky,

I'm not 100% but I think when the engine gets to a certain temp the switch opens and feeds power to the choke, the choke has power direct from the altenator to so it dose still work I assume this switch makes the choke open faster or slower depending on how cold it is Thanks for your help

So today I thought I better put some antifreeze in my car and as it was laid up for a long while I thought I would change the thermostat to, well the one I took out was 82c and the new one is 89c which is what the Haynes manual says it is, so which is it ? My temp gauge is a bit higher then it was before also I broke the switch for the auto choke does anyone have one ?

Got some Bosch ht leads to replace the curse word cheep leads and she's now runs lovely and super smooth so don't buy cheep ht leads, I replaced the rocker cover gaskets and in side the rocker covers was caked in old oil so I stared cleaning it of and thought it was a curse word job so burned it off with a blow touch much easier did stink tho lol so lovely and smooth and no tapping yippee, I also fitted a Usb socket to the dash, I got a 12v to 5v converter which is ment to be 3amp I think so should charge much faster then the adaptor I had and doesn't interfere with the radio which is good,
