Tried my daughters iPhone on the aux lead today and it sounds much better and plenty loud enough, so it was quite because of the curse word phone I've got on loan, should get my iPhone back next week thank God lol So if your aux input is to quite get a better phone lol

The problem was when I soldered the aux cable to the board I accidentally joined two terminals together all sorted now

The mod I've done to the stereo has worked very well it sounds very good no interference at all and the sound quality is brilliant but not as loud as I would like when connected to my phone but when connected to my laptop it's plenty loud enough and still sounds good. So here's my plan I'm going to get a stereo pre amp kit from maplin I think there about £6 and fit it in place of the pre amp for the cassette player as it's not being used anyway I can use the power from the cassette motor to power the amp I'll keep you all posted how I get on I'm pretty positive it will work well tho

Connected the aux lead to board with two 10k resisters and it sounds great i disconected the cassette motor and tape head to limited interference, it plays over the radio unless I put a cassette in I could of wired a separate switch in but I didn't want to I wanted to use a cassette as the switch to turn the aux on and off but it sounded curse word but it perfectly OK as it is, here's a video I'm using my lap top as my phone is knackered I'm thinking its a safe assumption that it will work just as well with my phone

I looked at the diagram and found cassette part connected with the volume switch soldered the wires with resistors to the board and nothing so after playing with this for a good length of time I unsoldered it and put the stere back togetger in temper, and discovered later that the headphone jack on my iPhones not working, so what I did probably was ok so I'll try again later and use a different divice to check it,

I've tried fm modulators and cassette adaptors before and don't think they sound great, I want to install a aux and usb socket in the glove box so I can charge me phone and play music with out having all the leads coming out the front of the stereo

Ok this is what I want to do I want to mod my stereo with an aux input, I was hopping to conect the lead to the tape head so I have the radio and when a dummy tape inserted it plays the music from the aux lead, when I did this it sounded curse word I had to have my phone on the lowest volume I've been told I should of fitted some resisters to lower the power from my iPhone is this correct if so what value resistors do I need ? It's a pioneer ke1300 by the way

About 10 years ago I was a taxi driver and finished early hours of the morning and after a couple of Jamaican woodbine's (which I don't smoke anymore) is brought a 1979 mk2 escort rs2000 for £1700 which was bloody cheap then in the morning once I'd realised what i had done I rang the chap and apologised and said I was going on holiday and could pick it up in a couple of weeks which he was ok with thankfully giving me enough time to work out where I was going to get the money so after practically living in my taxi for two weeks I managed to raise the funds And I was the owner of a hearing aid beige rs2000 which was in very good condition and on the road I stupidly sold it a year later which I think I will always regret,

Ok when I turn the stereo up the left side gets louder before the right when you get above 3/4 it evens out, I'm not sure about the colours for the speaker wiring, the stereo I'm using is a pioneer ke-1300 I've soldered a aux lead to the volume pot but I'm sure it was like it before, when I get chance I'll check the voltage coming out the stereo to rule that out, but I'm thinking it's either the balance joystick thing or I've wired the speakers up wrong, but I could of soldered something I shouldn't when I fitted the aux lead ?? Oh and the stereo only has three speaker wires left right and negative

I tried to take them back but the place I brought them was having none of it, I found another lead to replace it, and it's running very smoth now, I'll take a look at them beru leads and make sure I'm sitting down lol, other then that I'll get Bosch or Lucas I think, I really can't justify £100 on ht leads

From what I've read the a14 head is the same as the a15 head, the a15 engine had the same size bore as the a14 but was stroked to make it 1.5l and it looks like both engines where in production for a long time,
