^YEP^ And a lovely example too. Filmed mainly in and around the Millenium Mills on the Royal Victoria Docks. How do I know? The actor playing the psycho killer in Luther is also a producer and I was there around the same time on a different shoot for him where he was the main character. I got to hold him at gunpoint this time around.

Damn these are nice! Shame I've got nothing 4x100 or anything with that PCD on the horizon either. These will suit pretty much anything with a Street Machine vibe (as per Will's thread) Good luck with the sale Amigo....

^All of this makes me very happy^ OK, so you were a wally, but having Vilerug on hand is always a winner. I really hope I get to see this in the flesh tomorrow. I'll make sure I take my camera to the unit.

If there is enough meat to get a few good rivets in the return edge at each end (the bit that laps into the wheelarch) then as long as the skirt isn't too flexible, some strong tape should hold it on OK as long as the surfaces are nice and smooth and clear or grease/dirst. I've had sideskirts before that had no tape, adhesive or fixings along the top edge and just relied on the fixings in the return edge at either end (screws on mine) plus about four more along the underside of the skirt where you can't see them...going into the sill. No further fixing was needed and it was rock solid. EDIT: After the major hassle Rich had removing some 'pods' from a BX the other week that were fixed on with a sikaflex/tiger seal type mastic, I really wouldn't go down that route unless you really hate your car and really hate yourself.

Now that the new ProBoards has had time to settle in and for us to find our way around it, I have to say, I LOVE IT! Beyond the gimmicky things like the 'like' button (which I do like), I'm really impressed with the name tagging facility and actually quite a few other little things that just make the whole thing work better. Nice work getting it thus far HoTWire The one main thing I miss is the location bit next to users names. I know you can click on their profile to find it there (if they've included it in their profile?) but generally I really miss just seeing it there under their avatar. I've noticed quite an increase in people asking where others are located (not just in sales threads, but other threads where people offer healp etc..) and it's one of those things I reckon just makes the forum easier to use. I know not everyone has it filled in, but the majority do and I, for one, would really welcome its return into the users mini profile on each post. Thanks.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the MOT buddy. I'm also really hoping to see this in the flesh tomorrow, it's been a long time coming, but knowing the amount of time and effort that's gone into it, it's going to be well, well worth it. CAN. NOT. WAIT. Oh....and to the others, I'm lucky enough to have a copy of this photo, but in colour. It does look GREAT!

I too have always been a massive fan of the Oxia and Proxima (maybe not so much the Quasar). The names are so 'of the period'
The rear wheels on the Proxima are a work of art and I reckon someone ought to put some (with a PCD) into production. Maybe slightly narrower, but with the whole idea of that massive dish. Such a winner!
I also love the way the fake photovoltaic cells have started breaking down and they've left them like that.
Overall, it's like Peugeot were commissioned to produce a car for a real life version of Akira. On acid. Either that or they were sneaking Franco Sbarro into the design facility out of hours. Manufacturers need to start supplying crazy drugs to their designers again. The world needs more craziness like this.

messing metallic The very rare and splendid Messing Metallic I drove past an E46 M3 in this colour on the M25 on Sunday. I have to say, I was completely gobsmacked at how stunning it is in the flesh. Probaly the only colour I've seen in a very long time that has really made me consider what car I own that would be worthy of wearing it. I rushed home, did some research to find out what the colour is called (not easy when you start with 'BMW E46 green'!) and came straight on here to sing its praises, only to find two other people who've posted about it. One day, when I return to the project, this is the colour I can see the Lotus Elite being painted.

ben711200, speedy88 - Both of you have time allocated in the altitude correctional facility. The big spring compressor is on site, the ramp is reserved for you both and I can't tell you enough how excited I am to see the results. The E34 might also be getting similar treatment time permitting?

Dates are now up for the next play weekend. I had published them previously but just wanted to remind everyone seeing as it's only just over a week away.
Plans for this one? Nothing particular - working on the Kart project fro sure, trying to get the Daimler running (pending other outside factors) but I possibly have something planned for the Sunday.
Depending on weather and what time we all get up, there are two options I have lined up for a bit of a fun distraction. We'll be playing it by ear, but it should be good.
See you all there.....

have a Photoshop that disagrees with the 2nd comment 9 years later... Me too, but mine is not a photoshop, rather a 'work in progress' (i.e. I need to get off my ar$se and refurb them!)

Guys, I think everyone has made their point on the advert. Time to let it lie and let the seller get on with selling the car. Or indeed pxing it with the 155. Yeah, you're right. I'm off to advertise my stunning M5 Evoluzionequattroportereplicate too. If you pay extra I might even put some genuine wheels on it. *megarolleyes* Anyone who suggests it might not be an M5, I'll just patronise the hell out of them for being utterly thick.

A group of us were discussing the merits of three spokes on FB today and with the recent threads like Aftermarket Wheel Pr0n and Banger Fodder having their fair share of three spokes....and quite a positive response to them, is this a sign that times have changed? I've ALWAYS loved three spokes and my love for them has never been hidden. I own a few sets of these often derided wheels and have owned even more sets over the past few years. Reading through this thread it would seem that the hate for them was pretty universal back then with pretty much no one thinking they would become cool or even 'accepted' So, have times changed? Is the hate still the same or have peoples view of these historical 'crimes to automotive style' actually become more accepted by the masses? I know BiAS, RobinXR4i, Brawr, Rmad, Stealthstylz, Garry and myself like them. Are we alone? Are we demented? I admit, it can be easy to make a car look totally wrong and utterly awful on three spokes (but the same applies to pretty much any wheel in truth). To me, again, like any wheel, it comes down to car/wheel choice and application. Softlines on some cars, hard edged designs on others. So, what do the rest of you all think? Bin or WIN? I look forward to seeing the views of everyone nearly ten years on.
