Very good day at the market today. Picked up a nice Gunson Battery Charger for cheap and it works well. Also found the cute wee Magneto spanners for .50 I've got that very same battery charger, got it new a little over 20 years ago and its still doing me proud, nice find.

Mk2 Storm in Cosmos Blue only 300 produced (RHD). Had an identical one back in 2002/2003, I was the 3rd owner, 59k miles and I let it go for £700ish, I cant remember the whole reg (B-plate) but I'll recognize the car if I ever saw it again as it had been in a bump and the drivers rear quarter was from a red scirocco.

There was a local car boot near me today so I went over for a wander, I picked up some new in the box 6"x4" Pyle speakers for £3 (standard size for mk1 golf) Only when I got home I realized that they were daewoo's finest with the pyle grilles over the top 😆
I'll stick with Ebay

I'm really surprised that these are still here, I know that they aren't 'scene' type of wheels but they are cheap and unusual Any offers? I'd swap them for mk1 golf bits or even a decent radio controlled car for my kids to play with.

This blaupunkt hamburg is going in my blue mk1 golf once the resto is finished, its was dealer fitted in mk1s back then so it's period correct. This ones faulty though (output transistors) so I might just get someone whose more clued up than me to get it converted to dab. My red mk1 will end up with a jvc chameleon when I drop on one sensibly priced. that's my all time favourite stereo, I still remember being mesmerized the first time I saw one approx 20 years ago

If it starts fine when cold but it takes ages to fire once the engine has a bit of temperature to it then my money is on the warm up regulator.
See I see that as a late one, the last of the real cabs, before they started making the silly clipper kitted ones.
Get it and stuff a 1.8t in it tho for sure, or a g60.
I had a g60 in my last cabby (sold in Oct on this very forum), it was probably the most fun thing I have ever put together, 100% would have kept it if I had more storage space.

Make some space, give it 12 months ticket and sell it in spring should see you a couple of grand. Gl will be pretty much bomb proof (assuming its a 1.5) with only the crappy 1b pierburg carb to give you any grief. Give me a shout if you want any bits as I broke a virtually identical one last year.

Newer the better for my Mrs, she likes her mk6 golf diesel but would swap it in a heartbeat for any pile of rubbish as long as it was newer. She won't drive any of mine now. Approx 10 years ago she used my old corrado g60 for a few weeks while her car was out of use (she did crash it but that's another story) and felt she was let out of junctions etc more frequently when driving that car as it was a bit retro
