Oh! Oh! and last week I bought back one of my old cars - again: and this week I bought a new car purely because it was well priced and MOTd: 1930 Austin 7 Ulster - new ally body now retrieved. 193? Austin 7 Special 1936 Austin 7 Special 1978 Cadillac Coupe De Ville 1978 Skoda S110R 1985 Skoda Estelle 120L5 1986 BMW M535i - in need of HG. 1986 BMW 635i 1987 Skoda Estelle 130LSE 1989 Skoda Rapid 136 1992 Skoda FavorAt 1992 Skoda Favorit Pickup 1994 Skoda Favorit GLXiE CD 1994 BMW 525i Sport - third time it's been mine! 1994 BMW 540i 1999 BMW M3 Evo 2000 BMW 535i Sport - it has made a comeback! 2000 Subaru Impreza Sport Special - off to be serviced. 2001 Alfa Romeo 156 - off to be fixed. And there is talk of something else joining the fleet next week...

I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

Needing a runabout, and/or because my mums 206 is now faulty and she needs a little car for when her BMW is being too thirsty, and/or mainly because my first car after passing my test was a red 03 Arosa, I have finally returned to where it sort of all began - - with this 2002 1.0 Arosa in the same red Which, oddly, drives just as badly as my first did after I walloped it. So it's some kind of "resolve your unresolved issues week" around here, as I never did fix the first one properly, and this one need all the suspension and lower arms renewed. This hasn't be hit though, just lowered too much(!) and not looked after. It does have 44k from new though and I'm the third owner now. Torn between putting it back into good standard order, or to buy cheap coilovers and fit these wheels I have "in stock"... I'm currently running around in a friends Vectra while trying to sell it so the sooner the better!

Genuinely sad that this is leaving now. 1999 BMW M3 Evo 2000 BMW 535i Sport 2000 Subaru Impreza Sport Special - back from servicing, but still a few bits to do. 2001 Alfa Romeo 156 - off to be fixed.
On the peripherals we have: 1995 BMW 328i Sport rep in silver - for sale 1998 BMW 328i Sport in silver - will probably sell it on... 1998 BMW 535i manual in green - will likely end up broken but need to inspect first 2004 Vauxhall Vectra 2.0 diesel - current daily 2007 BMW 325ci auto - in Imola red, gorgeous, not sure what to do with this though.
And two cars due in the next two or three days that will put a long-forgotten project back on the map!

Blimey, it's hard to keep up with your wheeler-dealering. You must have the insurance company on speed-dial

So, lets update again: 1930 Austin 7 Ulster - New Alloy body being prepped for first fit. 193? Austin 7 Special - old GRP body stripped for cleaning and paint. 1936 Austin 7 Special - no change. 1978 Cadillac Coupe De Ville - no change. 1978 Skoda S110R - inside hiding from scary wet stuff. 1985 Skoda Estelle 120L5 - semi-inside, hopefully selling soon. 1986 BMW M535i - in need of HG. still. 1986 BMW 635i - now will not run. 1987 Skoda Estelle 130LSE - no change. 1989 Skoda Rapid 136 - no change. 1992 Skoda FavorAt - no change. 1992 Skoda Favorit Pickup - provisionally sold. 1994 Skoda Favorit GLXiE CD - no change. 1994 BMW 740i - waiting manual swapsies. 1997 BMW M3 Evo - MOT due, needs a couple of tiny things 1999 BMW M3 Evo - no change. 2000 BMW 535i Sport - finally here! 2000 Subaru Impreza Sport Special - in daily use. 2001 Alfa Romeo 156 - just a brake flexi then MOT and daily. 2002 Seat Arosa - almost ready. A couple of weeks ago I flew to Glasgow to pick up another E32. It made it 200 yards then terminally died. I got a lift from an old friend who lived nearby back to the port without the car and frankly had a pretty miserable Saturday evening/Sunday morning. Had the car recovered and it is still not any keener on starting and the fuel can I left in it has gone walkabouts. Literally hate it now, so it will get broken. Slight shame to annihilate a 735i manual, but then it should work if it wants to live. The 540 went to live be horribly mutilated by an "enthusiast" far, far away: I sold this 328: and bought this one from Norfolk: Also arriving at the same time were a couple of cars I bought in summer but hadn't brought home until now: The 535 Sport will be a daily for a while, the 635 will get an MOT and then maybe used a bit when the weather improves next year. And while waiting for them, someone I know accosted me by text and worked out a deal that saw me take possession of yet another M3: I'm no E36 fan, but Techno Violet is hard to resist. And so to the Arosa. It was purchased a few weeks ago, but drove horribly. New wishbones, ARB bushes, and all new struts and springs should sort all the handling issues out, and new tyres too. A little trial fit... it will end up on standard wheels but these just look so cool on it.

I've always fancied a Beemer. Approaching 25 and sensible insurance accordingly...

You've gone into overdrive!!! I might have an extra two cylinders in my E32 but I can compete in sheer volume of awesomeness! Even you couldn't break a manual 735i? Surely... At least two lost this year then

I'd really rather not break a Diamant manual but I have learned the hard way not to chase cars that become stubborn in refusing to work. Yeah, I know I'm a car killer, I've scrapped cars before for having a flat wheel etc, but sometimes there is just a line that they cross. I don't believe cars have a particularly good looking future, I don't believe in posterity, and I won't care about any of them when I die. I doubt you wanted an answer that involved though! You're right about the overdrive thing, I've had absolutely loads through my hands, mainly to curb the dissatisfaction of not having time to work on any of the ones I want to, so I buy ones that I can use, then throw them away when I'm bored. I'm like a chef that buys cheap takeaways because he doesn't have time to cook for himself lol.

My mums 528 Touring decided without provocation to fold its rear wheel under itself (thankfully at her house). So she needed a car right away. Conveniently the Arosa had been bolted back together and was at a local place getting the alignment sorted out. Not so conveniently the airbag had blown up when they took the misaligned steering wheel off. So I scarpered off to a breakers, dropped the wheel in, and the car was ready a couple of hours later. So, the Arosa is now in action as a winter daily. I don't need it so she can have it. 535i is being by lovely winter daily. No heated seats but demister works a treat and there are no squeaks or rattles. And the Alfa V6 has an MOT now, so it will go into duty next year. And I've bought an E46 330ci Sport Cabriolet off a friend - no good reason for this. 1930 Austin 7 Ulster 193? Austin 7 Special 1936 Austin 7 Special 1978 Cadillac Coupe De Ville 1978 Skoda S110R 1985 Skoda Estelle 120L5 1986 BMW M535i 1986 BMW 635i 1987 Skoda Estelle 130LSE 1989 Skoda Rapid 136 1992 Skoda FavorAt 1992 Skoda Favorit Pickup - provisionally sold. 1994 Skoda Favorit GLXiE CD 1994 BMW 740i - waiting manual swapsies. 1997 BMW M3 Evo 1999 BMW M3 Evo 2000 BMW 535i Sport - OTR 2000 Subaru Impreza Sport Special - soon to be collected by new owner. 2001 Alfa Romeo 156 - MOT sorted at last. 2002 Seat Arosa - OTR 2002 BMW 330ci MSport - taking up room on my drive.

Purple M3 is sold. The 156 has been successfully reintegrated into daily use and appears to have only a small amount of annoying niggles although the loud droney exhaust does make little girls carsick so that really is not going to remain a suitable "sensible" car for very much longer. It's getting all scratched up and dirty again so it may just become a work car - it pretty much is anyway, it just means I would stop caring about it getting scratched or mucky. The E39 535i is out of test now and 10" front wheels do not like full lock so it's on 17"s now for the test and will then be sold, or put up for sale anyway. We've had a pretty hard time of it in work for the last 8 weeks so no actual progress on anything. Have bought these cars though - really for resale after repair, but enjoyable nonetheless. E28 M535i manual - was really rough, and still is, but we're tidying it up and it really is starting to look nice. Wheels were awful so it has the TSWs now which means I MUST put the RHs onto my black one at last... E32 730i auto - cheap and decent T&T from one of our customers, bit rumbly in the mechanicals but I'm home in it tonight with no dramas. E34 525i Sport which has been very much truly rescued from a fate of drift-slag. It has already seen a few drift circuits but survived, just, and now it will be restored (needs sills and serviced) but it is super-duper tasty. Wheels are vile and will be sold. Which reminds me, new employee is best friend of ex-owner of the other Avus 525i which I bought for the third time recently for breaking but haven't broken... he is sentimental about it and it looks like it will almost certainly be revived also, as he's an electrics whizzkid and also good at bodywork so the paint and wiring issues are no longer to be considered a deathknoll... Think that's it for now.
